Welcome to the Fantasy Art Guild (HAHA, our acronym is f**). The guild is for anyone mildly interested in this section of art, so we're bound to get quite the variety of people here. To make your stay, and the stay of those around you, more enjoyable, I have created a few simple rules.

Before you go on to read the rules, or to get involved with the guild, I want you to be sure of two things:
1. You're familiar with Gaia ToS. You must follow these terms of service at ALL TIMES while on this site, and this INCLUDES my guild.
2. You follow Gaia Online Rule and Guidelines at all times.

Getting more simple and straight forward here, because I know most of you have been too lazy to actually read the ToS and Rules. These are the specific rules that myself and (when I get them) my mods will be checking to make sure you follow. If you won't read the big articles I've provided links to, at least read this:

No excessive swearing. I honestly don't care if you occasionally let the F-Bomb drop, but saying things that would make Opra sound like a bunch of random symbols (*(^#*&%^#*%&@%#$@#^) is a bad thing, and this offense is punishable by SOAP. If you are very persistant with your cussing because you beleive it's appropriate to talk in such a fasion, I will ban you from the guild. We don't need disrespectful asses like that hanging around. A "disrespectful a**" qualifies as anyone who is very profane. They can be the flamer, who walks in and proclaims "YOUR ART F**KING SUCKS YOU F**KING B**CH! GO CRAWL IN A G*D**N HOLE AND DIE YOU W**RE", or, on the other hand, they can be the ignorant person whose tongue has become too lose ("F**k, man, that s**t is f**king awesome). There's simply no need for it. If you want to be in this guild, watch your tongue.

~*~][:::2:::][~*~
Be courteous to others. Constructive critisism is fine, and actually widely supported and encouraged, but there's a fine line between constructive critisism and flaming. Constructive critisism can be harsh, and sometimes seem insulting, but it's still constructive critisism. An example of harsh constructive critisism would be "The hair is basically flat and lifeless, making it look completely pointless. It kills the picture. The anatomy is way off, to the point where it's hardly recogniseable as a human... bad anatomy kills a picture, and you certainly did a good job. overall, I think this is a horrible picture because of its makeup and your anatomy issues", where an insult would be "Your art sucks."
Also remember that all art is different. Nobody's art is exactly the same. Going to someone to critisize their work with a closed mind is one of the most rude things you could do in this guild.
Manners are also something many people value. It will make your stay much more enjoyable, for yourself and others. The occasional "please" and "thank you" won't kill anyone. Even if you're telling someone off, it's still good to be polite. It may prevent an argument.

Do not ask me (Mel_Darkflame) to be a mod. I will NOT accept anyone who comes asking me to be a mod. If you continue to insist on being a mod, I will ban you. In my other guild (The Music Artists Guild) I've had too many people PM me, begging to be a mod. When I've said "no", they've continued to press me. THIS WILL GET YOUR BUTT BANNED.

~*~][:::4:::][~*~
Please, please, PLEASE read the posting guide and follow it. It's there for a reason, and it will help everyone in the long run.

~*~][:::5:::][~*~
Remember that you are not a mod in this guild (if you are, ignore this blaugh ). You may see someone breaking the rules, or doing something that you just REALLY don't like, but that's the way it is. You can notify your fellow member that they are breaking a rule, but don't argue about it. Notify one of the moderators through PMs, giving a link to the offense, but ONLY if the member persists and refuses to change the problem, and ONLY if a mod hasn't already adressed it. We appreciate your help, but persistance might lead to a fight, which leads to insults, which is against the rules. You dont want to get the BOTH of you banned, do you?

~*~][:::6:::][~*~
Keep your mind open to options. If you don't like what you see or hear, leave the thread. Simple as that.

These rules are relatively easy to follow, though they are long-winded. They're there for a reason, so we do ask that everyone follows them. Thank you for your time.
