Hey, guys, this is Fizz. I am now continuing Nashi's journey alone, for Fauste has had some trouble posting. I hope this doesn't upset anyone. This needed to happen in order for Nahshi to grow. Thanks for reading her quest! Note: Nobody should post other than me unless given permission. Thanks.

Nashi and I had but two things left to find: we needed one rainbow item and one raspberry item. The journey had been long and hard, but we were almost done, and the very thought of returning home warmed our expressions.
Nashi, I said to her mentally, what do you think of building a beach house? You know, like a little cabin over the ocean?
Nashi looked at me strangely. Well... that would be nice, but how in the world could the two of us accomplish something like that?
With a sigh, I realized the size of the job. It would be impossible. Yeah, you're right. Nevermind.
We continued walking slowly. There was really no hurry, and we were both exhausted. We would need to sleep soon.

When we came to a clearing, we both fell onto the ground with a sigh. Nashi was yet to tell me what had happened with Sunflash. I looked at her with questioning eyes.
Nashi... what happened back there? I... I just need to know.
Nashi turned her head to look at me. Her expression was mixed with fear and guilt. The Moonlight Stallion. He's what happened. Her words were lacking any means of feeling, and she was getting me worried.
Oh, hon. Wait... the moonlight stallion... Something about the name jarred a memory. Moonlight... that was it! Nashi had showed up one day wearing a moon pendant! Is that where your pendant came from, sweetie?
She nodded. Yes. But he is dead now. There is no need to explain. And with that, she fell asleep.

In the morning, I found Nashi surrounded by a patch of black roses. They were beautiful, yet they seemed to surround her with an air of hatred. I just stared. Realizing there was nothing I could do was hard, and knowing as a guardian I could not guard her from herself was worse, but what really shook me was the fact that as a mother, I was unable to comfort her. The flowers just sat there: a symbol of everything she had gone through. My dear Nashi... her first trauma and she had not a friend in the world to give her love. I walked away slowly, leaving her and her terrible creation behind.

When I got far enough from Nashi, I sat on a rotting log. The air itself had somehow turned grey to my eyes. And then... as though a mist had befallen the world, a shadowy figure materialized before me. It was obviously a horse, but I could see a large pair of wings upon it's back. It stopped just short from where I sat. But before I could run, it dissappeared. I gasped. What... what had it been? I ran as quickly as I could back to the clearing, and found Nashi in exactly the same place she had been. I let out a deep breath.

Where'd you go? Said Nashi. Her voice startled me.
Oh, I... well, I just went for a little walk, that's all.
I walked quietly up to her and kneeled at her side. What I saw was strange and beautiful at the same time. The vines of the roses had wrapped their green stems up her legs, and a single black rose had entwined itself in her hair. When she got up, they remained.
What? She said, and I noticed I had been staring.
With a forced smile, I replied, Nothing. I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. We should get going, you know. We're almost done and I really want to get us home.
Nashi nodded solemnly. Let us go, then. She paced into the foliage ahead, and was gone from sight. I scrambled after her.

As I caught up with her, I frowned. She was so different now! Her personality, once so bubbly and sweet, had become almost... non existant. Before I could contiplate it anymore, Nashi spoke up. I think if we find a raspberry bush we will find an item. It shouldnt be too hard.
I smiled. It was good to hear her voice. Lead the way.
She stopped short, smelled the air, and with a great bound started cantering to the northeast. I ran after her.

Before long Nashi stopped short, right in front of a massive tree. We were still in the forest, and I wondered if maybe we were near Du Konungr. I looked up. This tree was not The King, for upon it were berries and baubles of all shapes and sizes. It was so beautiful... a smile lit my face.
Wow, Nashi, this is really neat! I grabbed a branch and hoisted myself up.
Find something. I don't care what. She layed on the ground with an expressionless face.
Her words had, very much so, dampened my cherrfulness. Lying to myself, I concluded that she was still tired and was anxious to get home. Frowning, I grabbed the closest thing to my hand. It was a glass berry, about the size of a normal one, and had a cord attatched to it. It seemed as though it was meant to be a necklace. With a shrug, I put it 'round my neck.
Got it! I yelled down to her.

A hint of a smile pulled at Nashi's lips when she saw the berry necklace.
I like it, she said simply.
So on we went. We only had one item to go! That night, as the moon made yet another journey onto the throne of the sky, we slept in the berry tree. It was very comfortable. And not only that, but it lifted Nashis spirits until she closed her eyes with a smile. It was amazing to see her like that.

During the night, it started to rain. Hard. The leaves and fruit of the tree shaded us from the worst of it, but even then we were hard pressed to keep from shivering. The wind screeched in our ears. The air itself had turned to ice crystals. Every corner of our world had turned to chaos.
NASHI! I screamed with my mind, fighting to keep it louder than the wind, WE HAVE TO FIND BETTER COVER! I lept to the ground and squinted into the abyss. I could see not but half an inch in front of my eyes. Sighing, I fell to the ground and covered my head. Nashi was quickly by my side. I felt her warm body above me, and realized she was protecting me from the sleet. I smiled and thanked her wordlessly.
In the morning, the rain had finally stopped, however the once hard ground had turned to a brown slush. My clothes were covered with it. However, we had to finish the quest. We begrudgingly slopped through the swamp of mud towards home. Even if we couldnt find her last rainbow item before we got there, at the very least we could wash up and try again tomarrow.

Finally, after many hours of hiking through the brown slush beneath us, we made it out of the forest. Our house came into view, but we were not looking at it. A rainbow the size of the sky itself illuminated the world around us. It was so amazing: we had not seen it before emerging from the trees. But now, as if it was smiling, it hung cheerfully amongst the clouds.
Nashi! I cried with a smile exploding from my face, Look! Isnt it the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?!
Nashi galloped to my side and whinnied blissfully. Yes! Oh, how wonderful!
Just then, something caught my eye. A faint shimmer had appeared on a hill not too far away. I raised an eyebrow and went to investigate.
When I reached my destination, I gasped. A small jar, about the size of a water bottle, sat before me sparkling with jewels of every hue. It was our last item. I picked it up with a sad smile, and tucked it gently into my pocket. Nashi had followed me, and was laying down on the lush green grass. With a final sigh, I sat next to her and gazed into the multihued heavens. It had been a long journey, but the closing of it seemed fitting. We just stayed there; in that blissful moment we had not one care in the world. Everything was perfect.

THE END
Final Note: Thank you for reading Nashi's journal. I plan to continue with her after she grows, but not as dilligently. I will promise you, however, that her dealings with the Moonlight Stallion are not over. wink This has been such an amazing experience; I cant thank Ceres enough. I would also like to send out thanks to anybody who has followed Nashi throughout her entire journey. Yes, it's a long one, but I think it turned out pretty good. Love you all!
