This year our band is playing all Chicago music (Make Me Smile, Does Anybody Know What Time It Is?, 24 or 6 to 4) for our first show, the only songs I remember from our second show this year is some music from Jesus Christ Superstar and Dr. Feelgood, and I don't know what's in our third show. What's your show(s) line up?

Aparently our show's called "Heart of Fire". rolleyes It's a latin show, cause it's not like we did a latin show 2 years ago. I like to call it the ZOMBIE SHOW, because none of it's original at all. >_> Well, half of it is, but our opener and closer aren't.
-El Toro Caliente! is our opener this year. It's nifty, but we can't play it fast enough yet and the chart has a billion diagonals and NO ONE CAN GUIDE. crying Or count on beat. Ugh, it's so frustrating. -My Spanish Heart is our ballad. I haven't heard anyone do this yet. It's a flute/guitar duet piece mainly, and my friend Erin is the flute soloist. biggrin This is pretty easy, though we still need to fine tune our charts and all, but at least it's not 180 bpm like Diablo is susposed to be. crying
-El Toro Diablo is our percussion feature. I...reeeeally don't like this piece. talk2hand For one it's susposed to be 180 bpm. Also, we tried to learn it all during Friday of band camp which...threw everything off. I still think this piece needs rewriting.
-and our closer is the infamous MALAGUENA. Which 50 billion other people have done. But I love this piece so it's ok, and our arangement is unique at least, unlike El Toro Caliente. Our intro's cool cause it has parts from My Spanish Heart in it. The ending is my favorite part of the entire show though, measures 77-95 give me CHILLS. When we play it right,at least. We still don't even have this entire on the field yet though, didn't get to it at band camp. :/ We've got up to chart 5 w/ playing & marching, and chart 7 w/ marching.

Last Friday we tried to get away with playing just El Toro Caliente and then playing Sweet Home Alabama afterwards. Unfortunatly, people DIDN'T MEMORIZE IT like we were told to by Thursday of band camp. gonk So needless to say ,it was horrible. I think this friday we're doing El Toro Caliente, My Spanish Heart, and then measures 1-40 and 95-end of Malaguena.

Our show is called Metamorphosis. The ballad is gorgeous.
