Destiny came bursting through the door, once inside the dorm room she slammed it shut and locked it, backing away from it, still clutching both the black wet thing and Fang. Once she thought she was safe she went to the fartest bed next to a window and curled up at the head of it.

After a few moments of calming down, Destiny began to examine the little black wet thing. It was an egg, from what she could tell. But what kind of egg... She summoned light from her staff and found that it was something she only heard about in tales. A Lesser Dragon's Egg! Destiny's eyes widen in awe. Both hands cradled the egg gently, Fang jumped onto Destiny's shoulder and sniffed at it. Making a slight hissing sound before curling up in her lap.

Destiny just stared at the lesser dragon egg. Why did Dassan give this to her? She wondered. The shell gleamed in the light of her staff as she rubbed her hand over the smooth surface. Her mind then wandered back to the moment when she saw Dassan sleeping. He looked peaceful, almost handsome in his slumber. She felt in her heart that there was still a light left in him. It was so small, like a new born star. But it was there, it just needed to grow to over power the darkness that had obsorbed him.

But how? She thought.

Wish Master, Came a familiar voice. Are you alright?

MidKnight? Destiny thought, blinking a little surprised. Yes, I'm fine

You were beginning to worry me. So many thoughts were racing in your mind. What has happened?

Nothing of real importance... I'm fine, MidKnight... Destiny thought quietly. I'm just a little tired... I need to sleep.

Alright, little Mistress. MidKnight's thoughts said, though his tone was still questioning. Sleep well.

Destiny sighed and curled up on the bed. Still holding the egg close. Fang squeezed in and purred softly before going to sleep.

Destiny suddenly awoke a few hours later to the sound of cracking. At first she thought it was the bed, but then remembered the lesser dragon egg that she was laying next to. She gasped in horror fearing that she crushed the little egg. She carefully picked it up and placed it into both of her hands and watched as the egg moved and cracked, until it shattered, leaving the little hatchling in her hands. It didn't move for a long time, Destiny feared that the little creature was dead. But when Fang pawed it, the little dragon gave out a squeel. Destiny quickly began to stroke it, she then summoned an old but clean towel to dry him off. All the while crooning a little tune to him.

Shine bright morning light
Now in the air the spring is coming
Sweet blowing wind
Singing down the hills and valleys

Once the little dragon was asleep, Destiny laid him next to her as she laid down. Fang curled up on the other side of the hatchling to help keep him warm. "Chirin..." Destiny said softly. "Gentle Chirin."

Fang turned around and lightly batted at the baby's hand on his tail. Not trying to hurt the kid unless he had to.

Fang swats at the baby's hand mewling and arching his back trying to scare him into leaving him alone.
