We text, IM, and call each other all the time. We flirt like crazy, and we say totally romantic things to each other. We're madly in love with each other. You'd think we'd be boyfriend and girlfriend, right?
I have no idea! He hasn't asked me out, and we haven't made anything official. He lives in another state and he hates long-distance relationships, so I don't really know how to ask, or whether or not to ask him to commit. But we act like we're in a very serious relationship - we're definitely more than friends emotionally, so I can't really call us "friends" because that doesn't sound right. His MySpace says he's single, so I know he doesn't consider this a relationship. But should we consider it a relationship? What do you call this?
Personally, I want to make this official. I mean, it's obvious we're in love, and isn't that all that matters? Well, that and we don't have anyone else. I want to bring up the subject of being exclusive, and officially declaring us a couple, and calling what we have an actual relationship. But again, I'm not sure how to go about it, or even if I should bring it up at all. I don't want to ruin things between us, but I hate not being able to call the man I love my "boyfriend," and I also don't like just calling him my "friend" because I don't think of him as just a friend. What do I do??

Talk to him and ask how he feels about you. Is it just lust, or does he think he feels something more than that? Does he want a romantic commited relationship with you? Etc etc.

Freedom Fire Nikolita Talk to him and ask how he feels about you. Is it just lust, or does he think he feels something more than that? Does he want a romantic commited relationship with you? Etc etc. He's already told me how he feels about me. He says he loves me - like really loves me. Then ask him if he wants a commited relationship with one person (you). Otherwise then what's the point in being romantic with each other if he's not willing to commit and such? As things are now, sounds like he might be wanting some of the benefits of a relationship (flirting IM's, romantic talk, etc) without actually commiting and becoming "taken".

If your both in love and the feelings you have for each other are real then you should seriously talk with him about the way you feel and your ideas. I am in a long distance relationship right now and were b/f and g/f, she is literally on the other side of the country XD. But we talk a lot on the internet and she calls me every once in a while, plus we write letters to each other. We have been friends for 2 years and been dating for I guess 3 months. I love her to death and things work out.
So maybe you should just talk with him and let him see what you see.
