That is a cooler cover than the original New Adventure. It's actually a very good story if I recall correctly. Professor Nightshade is an amusing concept. The isolated locations give a nice sense of, well, isolation, in that no one can come help you when the inevitable bad things start happening.
I didn't realise the Beeb was releasing more eBooks - my cup runneth over biggrin I guess I need to keep more of an eye out.

I nearly exploded with joy when I found out the BBC had put this online - I'm a massive Mark Gatiss fanboy, and I'd been wanting to read his Doctor Who books for ages. I've only read the first couple of chapters of the ebook so far, but it's pretty good, and I simply love his writing style.

I downloaded this and started reading it a few days ago. I'm about halfway through now and it's very good. My only problem is that he keeps running from place to place and there are a few too many characters who go the same way (i.e. seeing dead people). But the main monster is very good and I love the little sidetrack into the past. He also deals with racism quite well. I was a bit worried when they mentioned it in the intro that he might mess it up - but no.
I can't wait to see what the ending's like.
