My friend convinced me to play through the first game.
eek OMG I was blown away.
In the first game, the environments were so rich, the gameplay so smooth, the puzzles challenging but not frustratingly so, and the mechanics, characters, and story....just whoa. Plus, Greek mythology rocks. And the twists in the story are so abrupt they actaully get to you.
The official website is now up and the release date is some time in 2007. This game was my ultimate stress-buster. Anytime I was frustrated with life, I'd fire up the PS2 and hack the s**t out of Ares or a Minoutar or something and I felt better (and less violent IRL) almost immediately. Then it was funny watching my boyfriend try to beat the Hydra on Easy.

Bf: You have two minutes.
Me: *laughs and beats the hydra in 1 min 24 sec*
Bf: gonk
Me: PWNAGE! *gives the poor nooblet a kiss*
Is it just me or is the waiting painful for anyone else?

ohhh you have no idea how much i want that game to come out!
febuary third of 2007 so mark your calenders and get your pre-orders!

loved god of war.
i rented the game and beat it. it was hella good, and i'm probably going to buy it since it's $20 now. the game's fun and i wouldn't mind attemtping to try a more difficult level.
i'll be looking forward to when the second one is released, but i probably won't be able to play it till summer. my ps2 will more than likely be at home while i'm away at college. >.>

The first game was great, so yeah of course I wanna play the second one. I may or may not buy it though, it depends on how good it turns out to be. Hopefully it won't turn out a disappointment and keep up the expectations set by the first.
