im going to my first ren fair in sept. i'm excited.....i got a simple out fit i put together at fashion bug lol....i'm going as a gipsy..sorry i can't spell...
i was hopeing people could give me tips anything to make up or hair or details....anything lol i've never been!!

I would suggest going to a fabric store and looking at patterns. Butterick's, McCall's (sic?), and (I think...) Vogue should have Ren Faire type dresses in their costumes section. Also give the regular dresses and gowns section a try too. Sometimes they'll have Ren Faire inspired dresses on there.
Once you figured out the pattern you like, you can find fabric and stuff!

I went to my first Ren fair this year. I went as a servant (I borrowed my friend's costume). It was pretty interesting. The Queen wasn't coming that day, so a sherriff dressed up like her and told us to bow to him and say "Your majesty" whenever we saw him walking around.
