gods been ignoring me ever since i took to wear trousers,something which is banned in my church.everytime i have gone to church in my grandparent's area a priest spoke about god ignoring people until they did as god's bidding.coincidence,i thought and then another priest began to say the same thing!i guess i will have to stop wearing trousers,but what i do not understand is why i can see the holy spirit in people in other churchs that do allow the wearing of trousers.

Sometimes you have to submit under the authorites that you have been put under. Since you are planted in that church, you are submitted under the authorties of that church. If you start disobeying, you might be putting yourself out of that authority and into rebellion.

It's like your mother telling you to wear knee pads when riding a bike, even though other kids your age don't have to. Because your mother asked, being submitted is the best choice and not into rebellion because others don't necessarily have to. biggrin

Sometimes God allows us to have times of silence so we learn to trust Him more.

So, keep following God.

And if the trousers thing is really a big issue, ask God about it. If He convicts you that He doesn't want you to wear trousers, then don't.

Theere are some things that aren't entirely sins in themselves, but God convicts some people against it and others not. I think God does that for the sake of those involved, because some people would stumble if they allowed certain "gray" things into their life and others would not.
