Everything was bright. In her memories, at least. Even though her abilities had now stretched to include some limited form of maneuvering and shape identification- details, the details she loved were always lost. So she had to think well to remember the earth as it had been when she had seen. And she remembered it brightly.
It was the end of summer, and it wouldn’t be long before fall came. That would make a year she had been in the woods, and two years since- the female paused and rose her head, carefully swinging it from side to side, getting a feeling for the thoughts passing around her. In spite of such a time, she was looking for her sister. Winter would be coming after fall- and no matter what Phib said, she wasn’t going to leave her to freeze to death. But finding Ryukkii would take some time, particularly when she had to step on eggshells to do it.
So she decided she’d start early. More then likely, she wouldn’t appear until she really needed to...
For now, she focused on the flowers that she couldn’t see, but imagined even though it was past their time. It made everything look much nicer in her mind, and Amélie was glad for that.

The wind carressed his aging face softly, and Khaliki smiled to himself. The old wolf was laying in a group of fall flowers, the plnts early this year. He could tell that from the chill in the air and then growing of his coat that fall was on it's way. Some of the leaves were already changing on the trees as well.
The wind carried with it the scent of a female, and Khal lifted his head from the ground slowly, blinking as he scnned his surroundings. He saw in the distance a shape, a familar one. He watched her for a few moments, trying to recall her name. I am getting old. He thought to himself, shaking his head as he stood and stretched.
Amélie.
That was it, he remembered the blind wolf now. He called out to her in a low howl of greeting, smiling a little as he watched to see her reaction.
-------------------
Khaliki smiled brightly at her as she ran towards him, and knowing that she was blind he preapred himself to step backwards when she stopped a small amount in front of him. He chuckled at her greeting and smiled softly, "Greetings! I'm doing fine, just fine." He said smiling. "It has been too long. How are you?" He asked, sitting down once again.
Memories of their first meeting flooded his mind and he remembered Phib, the large black wolf he had befriended as well. "I haven't seen Phib in long time either. How is he?" He asked, smiling and cocking his head to the side.
-------------------
“I am very good yes.” She smiled, her body wriggling. So much had changed, and there was always a new crisis almost daily, but she had been handling it rather well. There was a slight nervousness to her brow that might have been detectable, and she looked thinner then usual, but otherwise she hid any worry well. “Always things to be doing, going-“
”Phib is very well. Busy, mostly.” She admitted. “Running pack things, always new wolves coming about and he loves to make himself important.” Right now, there were some plans to actually expand the lands a bit. Thirty-five wolves had never been something even Phib had thought of handling, but he had accepted the responsibility as readily as any wolf could. He was used to managing large groups.
“We’ve been a little more home-bound these last two months.” She admitted. Troubles with Phantom, troubles in the pack, Ryukkii, strange groups- all had given the pair more then a bit to run around with rather then enjoying the time on the freelands. It seemed like a large part of their offpack time was stumbling onto chaos. “It’s good to have things quiet again. It’s good to see you are well.”
--------------------
Khaliki nodded as she spoke. He didn't know much about the happenings of the world around him, since he didn't belong to a pack since he was a pup. He could tell she had a lot on her mind, and he wondered if he could help her at all with that. "I am well, yes. I'm glad Phib is well, too. He seems like he can handle most things." He said with a smile.
"Peace and quiet are lways good." He said nodding, glad that his life had been rather quiet as of late. "If there's anything I can help you with, just let me know. I'd be glad to do anything I can for you nd Phib."
---------------------
“He can.” She admitted, smiling affectionately. Even if he didn’t really think it, Amélie put a lot of faith in what Phib could handle. He was good with those things. Even if she didn’t believe he enjoyed them, she knew he found ways to manage it all. “He likes to do the busy work, so I don’t think he minds it much.”
The omission of help brought a gentle smile to Amélie’s face, and flattening her ears, she nodded her head and placed a few puppy kisses beneath the older male’s chin. “Thank you, I will remember that.” She didn’t think they needed the help- but the fact that he had offered was perhaps more pleasing then anything else that could have been said.
“Are you heading someplace Khal? Or just roaming these days?” The grey female questioned, her head tilting to the side. It would be good to know what their old friend was up to.
