I need to know of some places to sneak into and steal from with small or no chance of getting caught. Does anybody know of any places?

Well i usualy manage to sneak into the castle and steal things form the cabinets easily. Save your game before you attempt to steal somthing if you don't want to get cought. Also steal from shops at night make sure no one see's you brake in.

Hehe. Doing that was easy for me. I maxed my character's illusion and used invisibility spells.

try bruma.its pretty east to get in the buildings there.then try the imperial city.it could take some lockpicks to get in one of the stores though but you can get in there.the hardest city is skingrad.almost every shop has a hard lockpick level so you may want to build up on your security skill first.

Go and do one of the shrine quests and get the unbreakable lockpick, then build your illusion skills and buy a basic invisibility spell.

The easiest way to get cheap stuff - watch some of the fights that break out every now and again, wait for someone to get killed, find out who it is and then loot their house, this also works for any characters that you kill off too.

A great way to kill a character without getting done for murder and at almost no risk to yourself is to go out into the mountains and get a bear or something to chase you, lead it back to a settlement or group of people and watch the people fight the bear. Often then the bear will kill off someone and then you can loot their body and ransack their house wink

What I did to get some good loot was to steal the key from the owner in the daytime, come back at night and rob it blind.

But... Now I have 5 pieces of 20% Chameleon armor so I am able to steal anything I wish.

What i did is finish the nocturnal daedra quest ( the shrine is north of leyawin) which gives you an unbreakable lock pick, so all you have to do is press auto attempt until you complete it. This makes things alot easier.

I went into imperial city, and went on a rampage, and took all keys that people were carying. (Probably not the smartest thing to do) then at night i use the keys so i cant get arrested for lockpicking. The rest is easy. It also helps if you have the gray fox's cowl (complete the thieves guild) which you can wear, then commit crimes, then remove, and nobody will care that you did anything.
