Silly Poems and Stories

Hello all biggrin I am in the dubious habit of writing silly poems and short stories. I know this board is really for RP and Fanfic, but this still seems the best place.

Anyway, I'd love it if people would keep me laughing by posting their own silliness here heart but feel free to do anything you want (within reason eek )

To start it off here is a silly poem I wrote the other day to try and keep a hospitalised friend giggling. Hope you enjoy it wink

To explain a little, we have an ongoing insanity about a secret war between Pigeons and Badgers xd

When an egg wants a rest, an escape from the nest, in whom can it safely confide?
For the life of an egg, it has been confessed, is full of backstabbing and pride.
Locked in confinement, an eggs every allignment, is subjected to close scrutiny.
In introspective famine, how best to examine, the meaning of an oeuf's destiny.

As the egg's just a stage, simply the first page, in the life of an object ovate.
And lacking in meaning, yet immensely appealing, egg philosophy makes me irate.
When finally it hatches, at truth the young snatches, determined not to be denied.
Then it finally realises, a axiom it despises, "Oh no! A pigeon am I!"

Once an egg moves along from its theories and song, and the unwanted truth is told,
when it's revealed as a pest, with wings and a nest, and the lie does begin to get old,
then where can we turn when we need to learn, of the secrets the winged ones hold,
only the vizier bird, who makes lemon curd, can bring us in out of the cold.

For long it's been known, of the grand pigeon throne, from whence all the vermin are led,
and the story begins, with the secret within, how one survives with lack of a head.
If this truth should be shared, all pigeons be scared, for the badgers at last shall be fed,
A headless badger you see, is a dangerous fiend, and every last bird will be bled.

Please post your own silliness

o.O Whoot.
I wrote this haiku about spiders in my sock drawer...if that counts.

Here, I sit now with,
The spiders of my drawers,
They rule my socks.

o.o Yeah...that was kinda pathetic. It was for my creative writing class back in 9th grade.
I wrote this thing two years ago. x__x
