 The Dead Strike Corp. [DSC]

fallaces sunt rerum species[Translation: The appearances of things are deceptive] The DSC, once just the name of the elite demolition team of the Gaian Army has "officially" been disbanded. In truth, it has become a separate division of the Gaian Army with it's own goals and projects. The DSC has become an underground covert unit, merging personnel from the demolition teams and the now defunct Special Operations Unit, recruiting personnel formerly under the command of Retired Major* Athena**, the former Head of Special Ops. as well as personnel from the also defunct Intelligence Units since Major* Arwen*** retired, as Major Arwen was the Head of Intelligence. Wizard Laboratories Technology Inc., commonly known as WizLab, is a small firearms manufacturer founded by Mr. von Letum Barklight. WizLab currently serves as the public front for the DSC after it was "officially" disbanded and went underground. The current CEO of WizLab is Mr. Kuyuki. * - Under the old ranking system ** - Athena, Gaia User # 1152 *** - Arwen, Gaia User # 318 ---- DSC Department Listings:HEAVY MANUFACTURING DEPARTMENT [HM]The goal of the Heavy Manufacturing Department is to provide the resources and capabilities to manufacture and build "S, A, and B Grade Heavy Class" Weapons. "Heavy Class" weapons are those weight comes in excess of one metric ton, "S-Grade" heavy grade weapons comes in excess of 100+ metric tons while "A-Grades" come in around 75+ metric tons, while "B-Grades" are around 50+ metric tons. Heavy Manufacturing [HM] factories, when running at full capacity will drain up to 75-80% of all DSC self-generated power and resources, although they are rarely used at full operating capacity anymore. Thus, it is the Heavy Manufacturing Department's job to provide continued power, resources, and money to these factories when they are operating, at full capacity or not. ---- FINANCIAL/BUDGET DEPARTMENT [FD]The purpose of the Financial Department is to control income and expenditures of the DSC. It may sound simple, but it's not. The Financial Department is responsible for funding the DSC treasury. The goal is to collect at least as much money as the DSC needs to fund development and pay for DSC operations. On the flip side, the department is also responsible for controlling DSC expenses. The other DSC departments just want to spend, spend, spend and the Finance Department must keep spending in check. If the DSC treasury runs out of cash, the DSC will be unable to do any new construction, development, or research. If the treasury runs out of cash in the middle of a construction project, for example, all DSC Dept. Heads will be notified and the project will be cancelled until adequate funds are available for continuation. Even if the treasury is completely out of cash, certain expenses will continue to be paid each month, sending the treasury further into debt. Each department will receive their budget allotments. Ordinance costs will be deducted each month. If the Financial Department has deals to buy power, water, or garbage disposal services, the monthly costs will still be charged to the treasury. ------ UTILITIES DEPARTMENT [UD]The function of the Utilities Department is to supply power and water to the DSC. It's as simple as that. Outside the lone building of the DSC HQ a person stands staring at the two story building in front of him. His face is half hidden under his hat. He looks all that time at the gates. After a while the doorman takes note of him.
DOORMAN: Hey buddy, if you don't have any business here you have to go, now… Look if you don't go right now I'm calling security.
The man didn't answer, he just turned and walked off.

Workers of The DSC's Public Affairs and Relations Dept. continued to type away at their work stations, not noticing any of the security scanners around the room deactivating on their own...

Interior. UNDERGROUND PASSAGE.
Two figures can be seen in this unknown passage. One has a laptop connected to the varies data and power lines in the passage and is typing away. The other seems to be keeping a look out - with a silenced sub-machinegun in his hands. The one on the laptop stops typing for a moment and speaks into the microphone pinned to his collar.
FIG. ON LAPTOP: Bear to Cub, security has been disabled. You may proceed.
P. ON RADIO: This is Cub, understood, moving in now.

Ext. DSC HQ.
A black van pulls up to the main door, a dozen figures clad in black night-ops gear with bullet-proof vests, silenced sub-machineguns, and inferred glasses, piled out. Two went up to the gate, the rest hid to the sides. The one at the entrance started to bang on the gate.

Int. DSC HQ. LOBBY.
The doorman was having a light nap when banging noise sounded from the main gate. He was jerked awake.
DOORMAN: AH! ..Dang, who could it be this late at night? Maybe the guys upstairs ordered dinner..
He went over to the gate and stopped. Standing there was the man he saw the other day, still wearing an overcoat and hat that hid his face.
DOORMAN: What do-
He stopped as he noticed a second person crouching to the side. His eyes widened as he saw the object in his hands, but before he could say a word two shots ripped though him. As he fell the last thing he saw as his world faded to darkness was that the gate was open, and dozens of black armour clad men were storming into the building.

The men set up charges at the interior doors and blasted their way to the 2nd floor.

WORKER 2: That's exactly what I'm saying!

He stopped as they heard a loud boom coming from the stairs. As they looked at one another wondering what was happening the door exploded off its hinges and they barely had time to react as their body's were ripped apart by machinegun fire.
BACM [ Black Armour Clad Man] 1: Is that everyone?
BACM 2: Yes. Get to work.
BACM 3: Connections cut, the DSCHQ network is now a standalone.
BACM 4: Start hacking the mainframe, we need the codes for the underground lab ready before the boss gets here.
They set out to work, carelessly pushing the bodies of the former workers into a pile in the corner.

Exterior. THE LONE ROAD LEADING TO DSC HQ.
A single black car with tinted windows comes diving up the lane.
DRIVER: Sir, contact has informed that they have taken the building.

OOC: Out of curiosity, why would anybody design a security system where the off-site backup isn't alerted when the system is disabled - assuming they aren't paying attention and notice it themselves? "Gee, the voltage on all the silent alarm lines just dropped to zero, and all the camera feeds are dead. I wonder what's going on over there? Better sit here and wait for the problem to fix itself, without any regard for what the problem may be."
OOC: But then we can't expect much from people who designed their system so that people in a publicly-accessable tunnel can disable it without anybody noticing.
OOC: I'm going to state right here, these guys aren't following the GA security standards. I'm pretty certain the GA is going to keep that in mind in the future when deciding what projects the DSC will be givin in the future.

And you assume that the tunnel is public... its not, its really a service tunnel that was "sealed off" but somehow never was and was forgotten... the access to that tunnel is hidden ... somewhere... just outside GG grounds, and was build as an escape route, but never used.. 5 months ago someone - "boss" - found it and has been trying to gain access since then, and up till now, he has failed every time he tryed.

Modern cameras also place a timestamp in the image, GG tech allows for you to spend the for the $5 worth of extra modern-day equipment to watermark it with the same. GA standards have the numbers being non-LCD font. The_Wizard and the lines are powered Not while you're splicing them. The voltage would either spike (if you touched the replacement feed to a live wire.) or sag (If you did *not* tough the replacement feed to a live wire.) The_Wizard the work of a generator and 5 months of hacked security codes, So they've been accessing data that they aren't supposed to for 5 months, without the system noticing? You don't even have biometric security for high-clearance areas! The_Wizard the "boss" disabled the system with the system's own codes so as faw as the system knows, there is an override to the backup alarm. A backup alarm system is off-site. It triggers when the on-site security starts acting irregularly. "Backup" in this sense does not mean "redundant" - as there should be redundancy in all things security - it means "thing that watches the watcher and watchee". The entire security system can be compromized from a location outside the building. Sloppy. Why do you even have a part of the security system that can be broken into down there anyway? It's not part of the building, and it's painfully obvious that the security system doesn't extend down there worth a damn anyway. Why is it wired through so-called "forgotten" tunnels - have you *not* updated updated or maintained the system in decades? Or if the tunnel's not so forgotten then why wasn't the security-risk of a tunnel filled-in with cement? You're not on GG ground, you're on DSC ground. It may be be GG-owned, but nobody else is there. You're an at-least semi-independant company, remember?

Boss as just walked in and like everyone there disregarded the former workers laying on the floor... or was..

They all look up as bullet-poof siding comes crashing down over the windows.
BOSS: THE DOOR!!
Too late, the gate closed down, locking them in.. a few seconds later a flash goes though the room and everything shuts off...
BOSS: What the bloody hell just happened?
BACM 1: Er.. We got locked in?
BOSS: I can see that you soding idiot!
BACM 2: Ah.. Boss? Found this.
He hands over a letter, addressed to "Boss"...
Boss opens it up and reads:

You will, by the time you see this, already be locked in.. and in case your wondering, that was an magno-electric pulse that just when though the building.. all of your little toys are non-functional, my toys however... well their working fine, but don't take my word for it, say hello for yourself.
