The tiny red cub grinned proudly, having managed to sneak away from her mother while she rested, and made her way towards the well known Pride Rock. Jurawa had her little chest puffed out and head held high like she were the royalty of the lands. Although she was far from such status, she didn't really care. She was a vain little one, vain, yet calm. Taking after her father more than her mother however. She huffed a little and stopped for a moment, reclining to her haunches and looking around. As much as she hated to think it, she was lost. The little red lioness gave a small anguished cry and stared ahead at the giant rock. She knew she was still headed for it, she just didn't know where exactly she was, nor where she was going.

Tail flicking anxiously, crimson eyes scanned the area around Jurawa, their usual shimmer becoming nervousness and fright. "Oh no...." She said quietly, feeling tears well up in her eyes as she flopped over with defeat. "I'm lost." She cried, pouting and letting the tears fall, her little black tail flicking beside her. Giving a few small sniffles, the tiny red cub pulled herself up and shook her entire body. "I'm not...going to cry..." She trailed off, sniffling in the midst of her sentance and staring ahead at th rock again, firmly setting her jaw and bounding off towards it, pushing the long blades of grass aside as she moved through them.

It was the sound of muffled crying which caught the attention of the black cub. Although No spent a large part of her day sleeping and avoiding the pounces of her brothers, the sound awoke her out of her lethargy faster then any jostle or stroking. “Hello-?” The young female spoke. “Is everything alright?” Her voice was rather rigid for a child; steady and oddly articulate. Carefully she crawled down from the old log which had been today’s hiding place, and carefully she began to scour the area around her.

“Hello?” She called again, attempting to see over the tall grass. No response followed yet- but, she faintly heard the faint voice of another child speaking to herself. The black female bounded carefully over a small rock, and poked her head out of the grass.

There she was- a bright orange cub with her head down low and a worried look on her face. Forcing a smile on her usually solid face, No carefully walked towards her, her ears perking upwards. “Are you okay?”

Jurawa lifted her head and sniffled again, tear stained muzzle decorated with an incredibly upset looking frown. "No....my mommy's far away, and I don't know how to find her." She whimpered, letting her ears droop as she sniffled again and then stood up. "I was going to the big rock...and then I got lost. I didn't mean to get lost...." She trailed off and looked away, slightly embarassed that another cub had to find her like this. Normally she'd act all proud, puff her chest and be rude, but this was different. She wasn't old enough to be wandering this far from her mother, and she certainly wasn't old enough to be on her own, this far from her mother. "Were you going to the big rock too?" She inquired, feeling herself calm down slightly, most likely due to the presence of another. As much as she hated to admit it, it was comforting to have another there.

No blinked her muted green eyes, and nodded her head. “Oh, I see.” There was a long pause- almost to the point where it might have implied she lost interest, when the black cub suddenly opened her mouth again, and began to spoke in a slow and pointed manner. “No. I was not looking for the big rock- but I know what you mean. My name is No- who are you?” She peeped, and turned the end of her tail.

“Who is your mommy?” Actually- No figured she probably had no idea who it was. She could never concentrate on the people Ausi and Daimyn spoke about. But she figured it might set the young cub at ease, if only a bit.

“Do you want to go to the big rock? Or do you know where your mommy stays?” No pursed her lips. “I don’t know much about names, but I’m pretty good with landmarks...sorta.”

The tiny red female swished her little black tail back and forth and gave the older black cub a weak grin. "I wanted to see the beautiful queen mommy talked about...." She trailed off, sneezing and then looking back up apologetically. "I don't know where she stays...It's by the waterhole somewheres though." Jurawa said, feeling a little better now that she had someone to talk to. "Maybe you can play with me for a while, then I'll go look for my mommy...?" She asked slowly, not wanting to annoy the older cub. She perked her ears and glanced at the other hopefully, tail flicking as she shuffled her paws a little.

No shook her head. She wasn’t much of a player, although she tried to keep a forced smile on her face. “I’m not much good at playing. But I can help you look for your mother if you want? I know where the big rock is, but it’s a pretty long walk. All the way back to the den for me, and then Mom might steal me for a bath. I think we should go to see the watering hole. If you think she might be there, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

The dark female padded forward, and lightly nosed the scared cub. “Don’t worry, she hasn’t gone anywhere or anything. We’ll find her. It’s my job, you know.” She repeated simply, and flattened her ears in a dignified manner.

Jurawa gave a little growl. "But I wanna play....." She trailed off, quieting herself to listen to the black cub's suggestions. "Well....fine." She said, knowing she'd need to get back to her mother soon anyways. Her belly was starting to feel very empty, and her mother was her only current source of food. "You can help my find my mommy then." She said, nodding furiously and swishing her tail. She poked her paw at the other gently, and then pounced her, still wanting to play, whether the other cub had agreed to it or not. "Aha!" She shouted, giving a playful growl as she grabbed No's ear and gnawed on it.

What was it with people and pouncing her? Somewhat irritably, she turned her face as the other child gnawed on her ear, the skin almost painfully stretching because of her own movements. She relaxed and leaned her neck down- not wanting to be too mean, although noting that she would have clonked one of her brothers if the had done it. Why the playing? “I’m not a player...” She admitted. “I’ve got too many other things to do. I’m a Protector, you know.” No admitted. “I can’t play. I’ve always got to be on the watch.”

No wasn’t really sure where she had gotten the whole delusion that she was some kind of super hero- but she liked the idea that she was meant for something big so much that she had wrapped up her life around it. Privately she had been sneaking around and spying on some of the adults- trying to adapt anything and everything that would make her seem more worldly. She wanted to know things! Lots of things! And then- then she wanted to help people.

She would be widely famous- that so much was true. No didn’t have to second guess herself on that.

The tiny red lioness felt almost ashamed as she released the other's ear, cowering away from her. "I'm...sorry." She said, feeling her cheeks grow hot as she turned away, whimpering sadly. "I guess we should go find my mommy now..." She trailed off, flicking her little tail and looking back to No. "You know the way, right No?" Jurawa inquired, flicking her dark ears forth and standing again, not feeling it would be such a great impression if she continued her cowering. "I....I didn't mean....to make you angry." She said quietly, huffing lightly and then sighing a little, looking away again. "Other cubs like to play...." She trailed off yet again, padding away from the other little lioness and then turning back to her. "Is it this way? Or..." She spun around and took a few steps in the other direction, "That way?" She questioned, giggling a little. This was beginning to look as though it would become an adventure soon.

The black cub snorted, and flinched the corner of her pale green eye. “No, no. I’m not mad.” She explained. But playing... she just didn’t enjoy it. She wanted to do adult things, not run around and tire herself out. She was supposed to help people! But, she had to admit. Escorting the other girl back to her mother was probably the most exciting thing she’d done in days.

“Um...” No spoke, and glanced around. Which way was it...? “This way!” She pointed suddenly. Honestly, she had no idea.

But it felt right.

Jurawa laughed a little and then smiled hopefully, bouncing after No cheerfully. "Okay! I can't wait to find my mommy again. I can tell her about the HUGE beetle I found earlier." She giggled, wiggling a little as she moved at No's side. "What do you do if you never play?" She inquired, raising a brow and stopping for a moment. "Every cub should play...." She trailed off, waggling her tail a little and then going back to No. This was kind of weird...a cub that never played? She shook her head and let her mind drift, looking to the clouds in the sky. This would be some great adventure, yes yes....
