The golden lioness had spent the past few days thinking hard about her future, but about her past too. She remembered how the Pridelands were after the Plague. But there was a memory far more distant than that. A conversation with Mufasa that had happened so long ago. She hadn't seen the King since she was a cub, but she had heard about him and his grown cubs.
Today she was here to see if he remembered her in the light that she remembered him. Kind caring and a King to really look up to. She smiled to herself, and just hoped that she would find him, and that she wasn't intruding on anything.

-The old king rested upon the warm rocks lazily, letting the sunlight bake his golden pelt, ears flicking delicately with the sounds of the afternoon. His thoughts were as well in the past, but.. as it often was for those so late in their years, his thoughts were less of consequence.
Instead sweet thoughts of his mate, back when the two were as young and full of life as the many families that roamed his lands. A rumbling purr slipping from his daydream, the king streched.-

Finally her sapphire eyes found the kings golden form and her smile widened. Quietly she padded up to him, but made sure she was within view so she did not take Mufasa by suprise.
She mumbled his name, nervously, but standing so near him she felt so comfortable, and young, and even small, which was the last thing the rotund lioness would be described as at this moment in her life.
"M-mufasa?"

-His eyes shifted gently, falling upon the familar golden lioness, as his purr extended from his daydream and onto her, greeting her with a smile as he lazily debated getting up.
But finally he did, lifting his head and very slowly rolling to settle onto his stomach. It was such a joy to see a face from the past, ecspecially in such a fashion, healthy, beautiful, and with the blessing of life kissing her extended belly.- "Maawio... how are you? Is Amari treating you well?"
-Not the typical greeting no, but he'd always felt something of a fatherly air to the golden children of the land and past. And it was apparent in the soft purr of his words.-

Maybe this was a little too much all at once. Her head had been a little blurry with the exictement of her ew family, and now Mufasas voice renewed that sensation.
It was almost as if she'd stepped into the past, and here she was, a quivering cub, within the intimidating presence of the friendly but powerful king.
A smile stretched out on her golden and ivory maw, teeth glinting in the sun. "I-i..." She voice trailed off for a second, she hoped her huge smile would explain how she was feeling. "I'm wonderful." She said finally.
"A-amari is treating me wonderfully." She knew her mate had been to see the king, and was glad. Maawio had wanted Amari to meet Mufasa for the longest time, and it also meant his stay here was official. A purr slipped from between her maw for a moment. Yes. Everything was perfect.
"A-and how are you, Mufasa?"
