Anyway, I've been looking at, watching animes, reading manga for a few years now and have developed an interest in Yaoi, I don't know if I can explain this very well but I shall try.
In comparison to het artwork, it seems to fail miserable. Yaoi artwork to me seems to carry a higher tension of emotion.
Take a look at this:
Its pretty and all, but it just seems to lack this spark that Yaoi captures completely. I'm not just talking about professional work either, amatuer artists, like myself and many other gaians, also managed to capture this, spark that seems to make Yaoi so much more beautiful.
So, what are you're views? I'm just intersted to know ^_^

yeah, ive kinda noticed that too. I guess the spark is because its the kind of thing certain people can relate to, because we like it. Like a regular manga is just....manga. An artist, even if their ameaturs, can create that spark with the yaoi drawings because well...its a like of the artist so they put that extra effort into the drawing, that effort is seen by yaoi fans because its something that interests them....I dont know ive just confused muyself at about this point...my minds being too complicated again sweatdrop

I completely agree. There's just so much more emotion in yaoi art. They capture the feeling of the art so much better than regular manga.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Yaoi artwork makes me smile whenever I see it. But het...it has to be really really sweet to make me smile.
