In light of the bombardment of requests to join the Ela'wadiyi, myself and some of the other active owners at the moment have been trying to figure out quite how to deal with them all--we appreciate the interest, but as there IS no existing leader to the pride, it puts us in a very difficult position--so, to clarify a few things, please read through this thread, as other owners should, and hopefully will, feel free to add to this anything that I miss.
-First off, as I seem to be getting a LOT of these--no, Us'kali is not the queen of this pride--she's the adu'ladi of the Sky Clan, which is not the pridal ruler, but more what I'd think of as a lion who the rest of the clan would turn to for advice in times of need.
-As things stand, everyone I've talked to in the pride has been putting off, or delaying OUTRIGHT replying to any and all requests to join--it's not necessarily that we have a problem with anyone, but with the pride being as scattered, and even as dead for as long as it has been, most of us are trying to pull things back together, and get the pride functioning as a unit, before we address things like that.
-That said, even when/if the pride is moving again, the impression I'm getting from those I've spoken to is that most of us would like new join requests to be run by EVERY active owner, even when/if a ruler is appointed--the way that the separate clans coexisted before, paired with how decimated their numbers are now, has us thinking that they would function more as a group when it came to decision making than your average pride (which would have a king or queen who are able, and even willing, to arbitrarily decide.)
-Lastly, we have a great desire for the pride to really get moving again soon, so anyone with an existing lion who'd like to really actively help us get the pride moving again, please, make yourself known, as I think it'd be amazing if we could get the ela living up to all the potential they had when Dust first gave us the opportunity to throw ourselves into the pridal system heart heart
And, my brain's dead by this point, so feel free to hit the thread up, anyone else with questions/anyone else with an ela lion who has a question/concern with anything said here.

I have an idea ^^
It might be awesome if there was a list of owners, or maybe a special thread to join in, that way people know who to go to, instead of guessing and missing ^^?
Just a small idea ^^

Final_Crucible I have an idea ^^ It might be awesome if there was a list of owners, or maybe a special thread to join in, that way people know who to go to, instead of guessing and missing ^^? Just a small idea ^^ *nod* when/if things hit a point where we have the pride up and running enough that everyone feels comfortable with looking to open it up for new members, I agree, a thread with that kind of info would be a very good idea. heart heart

My lioness is currently residing within the lands but with the mountain of plot I have with her it may or may not just be temporary.
I will say however if it is or isn't.
However I agree with FC that there should be a thread with that sort of information.
It would be very helpful and fun heart ^w^

It would be helpful to have a thread with information and such...I would like to try and see about getting my female accepted into the pride. Once you have it up and running to where everyone would feel comfortable accepting others, that is. biggrin

If you've got any plotting in mind, feel free to include Mwovu into it. He's part of the wolf clan, if that helps any xD I'm definitely willing to RP him and get this awesome pride running again!

Talked to Dust, and she confirmed that if all members can agree, we may be able to elect a new pride leader.
I still feel that any prospective member should have to ask all members, at least while the pride is in it's current state, but I would also like to see an overall leader, and a leader for each clan, in the future.

Would the overall leader be one of the leaders from the clans, or a seperate lion?
Und also, we should establish which clans we have represented so far biggrin DDD

I just had a quick question, it was mentioned that any new requests to join need to be run-past all the existing members of the Ela? Does that mean they all have to say yes for you to be accepted too? I mean, if everyone ok's your request except maybe one or two, then that's not enough to join? sweatdrop

Also, just curious, would it be ok if I managed to custom an Ela for her to return home? Or would that be inconveniant?
