Asi was seated near the forest boundry, staring into the depths of the huge trees. His stance was uneasy, worried. When would his daughter be coming back? His son? His grandson? And who cared about Uumikaji, the red b*****d.
He took a deep breath and sighed, slowly realizing how full of his family this pride was. They needed other members, but how to gain them? He wanted strong fighters. He wanted to be able to protect his family, which seemed to grow still. He loved it and was worried about it, even though nothing was going on now.

The shadow had walked from teh den, following the giant footsteps of a large lion. The scent lingered on the ground, meaning he was near. Sky blue eyes lifted to spot the mocha form near the Kilango'Ta boundaries, and a small smile graced her maw. "Asi." Her voice was quiet, contempt, but also hold a tone that remained silently in her words. Something inside told her she needed to do this...She needed to see her son, and tell him about his daughter living here!
Walking up to her mate, the lioness nuzzled the coffee male ever so lovingly. "I love you." She murmured, purirng as she leaned into him.

Asi began to purr right when he heard Ari's voice, and perhaps stronger still when her scent filled his nostrils. He turned as she leaned into him and nuzzled into her, ears picking up on the quiet hint of something strange in her voice. "I love yew too." He breathed out happily. Ari always made him automatically comfortable, like nothing was wrong with his life or his family. Though that was far from true. "'ow are yeh, Ari?" He licked lightly at her ears and face, grooming her playfully.

The female nipped at her love when he licked at her ears. That was her vulnerable spot after all. As he spoke, her purring became quieter, as if pulled out of a daze. "I'm...okay." By the small pause she had made, you could tell something really was bothering the queen. "I mean..." A slow sigh escaped her maw.
"Asi...I...I need to go. To the pridelands that is." She finally spoke. "I need to see Denahi...and tell him about his son here. Although he may not like his family, if I were him...I'd be worrying sick about a daughter!" She said quickly.
"What if he is like you were with Sye? She's his only daughter, just like Sye was with our first litter..."

Asi's face dropped a little at her words. She wanted to leave the lands too? For Denahi none the less! Well, he shouldn't think that. Denahi was his son, no matter how much the boy hated or seemed to hate his family.
".....yeh 'ave teh do wha' yeh think is righ' Ari." He said slowly, looking toward the woods. He frowned hard and shifted a little, trying to get over the fact Ari was taking a journey as well as about half his freaking family. "It will be quick though, righ?" He glanced to her, looking worried.

Well...it wasn't like she would leave forever! She just needed to say it to her son, and then she would be back. It'd probably take ten sun rises if she left in the morning, and no more! That means she'd be back in the loving paws of her mate once again within two weeks.
"Of course it will be quick. I'll just leave a small note to him, and if he wants to see her, he'll come here." The female nodded, nuzzling into Asi once more. "But...i don't need to leave right now you know. We can always spend one night together again." A small twinkle was held in Ari's eye. That same playfulness she held when she and Asi first became friends.

He began to purr again and nuzzled into her, chuckling softly. "Aye, aye, I'll be 'avin' none o'tha', each time I le' yeh coax me inter a nighta fun we always end up with lil'devils ter pay for it!" He was only half teasing her. Half of that was true, seeing as it did happen rather often. "Bu' I would like yer company fer t'night, miss." He breathed out, nipping her chin.

Ari giggled quietly, making a tsking noise. "Aww you're no fun Asi!" She giggled again, moving towards him as she pushed on his chest. It was her attempt to knock him on his back in a small pin. The two weren't as young as they use to be, so not as much roughhousing could be seen from the twoo. "You don't want more darling child's running around the lands?"
Their first litter was filled with maniacs, 'murderers' and manipulaters.
Their second...two had been born with disabilities.
She nipped at Asi, leaning down into his chest. So soft, so warm and fuzzy!

He let himself fall back, laughing and watching her. He nuzzled her slightly as she rested on his chest. "Aye, when the land freezes over I wan' more 'o'em." He snorted, sticking his tongue out at her. Don't get him wrong, he loved the ones he had now... cubs were just... hard to deal with.

"The land will freeze come time the sun stays in the air for less time." Ari smirked. It was a sad thing Asi didn't want more children! Ari loved them, regardless of how horribly rotten they were. She snuggled into Asi's chest, as if she was going to fall asleep just like that. "You're comfortable." The female said slowly, rubbing her cheek over the hair tufts of the main.

Asi scrunched his nose and mad a 'pah' noise. "Yeh an' yer poetry, eh?" He smirked lightly, and slowly wrapped his paws around her body. Was she always this tiny, or did he just realize it now? He must have jsut realized it. His heart beat contently as she snuggled into him, and he let his eyes shut. "Aye, why thank'yeh, I 'ope ter at least be tha'much fer yeh after all this time."

Ari only smiled. She loved this lion with all her heart; she loved moments like this. After they had had cubs, she and him hadn't had the time to actually spend with eachother. And with the consumption of being rulers taking up most of the time, there just wasn't enough hours in the day.
After a moment, she wiggled from Asi's lock, licking him on the nose before pressing his muzzle against his. Purring, she rolled off of him, tail flicking as she stood. "Come on." She said quietly. They were going to go do something they hadn't done in a while.
Fireflies were usually out this season right before the rains, meaning the two could spend the night underneath the stars and sparkbugs, unbeknownst to them, it would probably be their last night ever truely together.

"Gah wah now?" He put on a false, cranky tone as he rolled to his paws to obey, cheerfully moving after her and playfully nipping at her tail. "Wha' do yeh 'ave in mind, mmm? I already told yeh, yeh no can 'ave my bod!" He chuckled, moving so he could walk beside his lady love.
