So, I was responding to a post in one of the threads in here and I got this idea....I've already made a Music/Art Thread...why not a Writing Thread...and so, here it is....this is the palce where you can post things your written, whether it be Lyrics, a Poem, a Haiku, or a Story....if you wrote it, post it here! there wont be any kind of voting, this is just a passive thread for curious readers or prolific writers. enjoy ^_^

He made music. The people loved it. However, they had no idea what it meant. This drove Maynard crazy. He shot himself.

The end.

I of course didnt write this, but, i do so love it. its Sonnet 91 by William Shakespeare

Some glory in their birth, some in their skill,
Some in their wealth, some in their body's foce,
Some in their garments thou new-fangled ill:
Some in their hawks and hounds, some in their horse.
And every humour hath his adjunct pleasure,
Wherein it finds a joy above the rest,
But these particulars are not my measure,
All these I better in one general best.
Thy love is better than high birth to me,
Richer than wealth, prouder than garments' costs,
Of more delight than hawks and horses be:
And having thee, of all men's pride i boast.
Wretched in this alone, that thou mayst take,
All this away, and me most wretched make.

he was a true master of the english language...

The end.

Actually, after he shot himself, generations of despondant, apathetic teenagers would argue incessantly about whether Maynard committed suicide or whether it was, in fact one of the Bikini Bandits.

This would spark irritation amongst the ranks of fans of Maynard's music that frankly, didn't give a s**t.

The end.

he was amazing...and that Sonnet is great, but my favorite is 46

Sonnet 46

Mine eye and heart are at a mortal war
How to divide the conquest of thy sight;
Mine eye my heart thy picture's sight would bar,
My heart mine eye the freedom of that right.
My heart doth plead that thou in him dost lie--
A closet never pierced with crystal eyes--
But the defendant doth that plea deny
And says in him thy fair appearance lies.
To 'cide this title is impanneled
A quest of thoughts, all tenants to the heart,
And by their verdict is determined
The clear eye's moiety and the dear heart's part:
As thus; mine eye's due is thy outward part,
And my heart's right thy inward love of heart.
