Jibanza's ears flicked. She wasn't comfortable in the least. Something was going to happen today... she knew it. It stirred in her blood, an unsettling feeling she didn't like at all.
What was it that was making her so... edgy? She wasn't usually like this. The little wild dog shook her head, and continued walking on.
Once again, she was straying from the family den, in search of some sort of 'adventure'. Jibanza was all about exploring... she wished to be some kind of explorer when she grew older. She felt quite a close bond to the world about her... the earth, especially, for the colours of her pelt were quite the same. She could easily blend into the earth, if she needed to hide.
Jibanza often would wonder what secrets the earth would hold... and how, one day, she'd see the jungle. With On X, the hyena she'd met not long ago. That would be... a dream. To see the ground dotted with green, and water, and moisture.
An ear perked up as she heard a sound from nearby. A hoof against the earth.
"You're not trying to sneak up on me and eat me, are you?" an irritated voice growled from behind her.
Jibanza turned to see an angry Klipspringer facing her. Wait, this creature was familiar, somehow... yes! Jibanza had tried to catch it, some time before.
It had let her go without injury last time (as a hyena, 'Kilima', had saved her), but it almost certainly wasn't going to tolerate her again...
Jibanza gulped as the klipspringer came closer. It was not amused.

Koin wandered followed the wind without his partner. A female dog called 'Lu'. After all, Koin did smell Chachili near by. Yes, again. Odd how he kept on finding her. He didn't mind really. Padding foreward, an unfamiliar scent wafted his nose near Chachili. It wasn't one of her fawns either.
"Hmm..." he 'hummed' and padded closer, lightly wondering if Chachili had noticed him yet.
On X wandered on. He didn't really go far from where he was when he had met his friend, Ban.
He had just eaten from a left over carcass and cleaned himself, left over maybe my Ban's pack. He wasn't sure. But his belly was full, none the less.
His eyes twinkled a bit at he saw a familiar looking wild dog with some sort of prey animal. He also saw, farther off, a white wild dog. Maybe from Ban's family? He didn't know, but he was curious to find out.

Chachili's eyes narrowed as she stared at the little brown pup before her.
"Y...you..." she growled, eyes narrowing, "I've seen you before, haven't I?! You're that little brat that tried to eat me a few suns back, aren't you?!"
The small, brown-speckled puppy stepped backwards, trembling a little, but seemingly trying her best to mask her fear.
"That was... l-l-last time," she barked, fur standing on end, "But this time, I merely bumped into you. I wasn't about to hunt you... honest!"
Chachili raised an eyebrow. Oh? Was this little wild-dog telling the truth, or was she just simply lying? Nethertheless, with fawns in her care, Chachili was not about to let the wild-dog go without teaching it a lesson. She stepped forward, menacingly, and then, with a quick movement, dealed the little dog a sharp kick.
Then, as she sent the little dog yelping, flying through the air, Chachili recognised a scent she knew well.
Koin...

Jibanza, on the other hand, winced as the hoof connected with her belly. She flew through the air, then fell to the earth, sending dust drifting up into the air. Shivering, and winded, Jibanza struggled to get to her feet. This prey animal had kicked her. Hurt her. She'd be bruised, for sure, and all because of mere prey! She wasn't going to take that.
Jibanza coughed, trembling from the throbbing pain that the klipspringer had inflicted upon her. She growled, then noticed a familiar scent riding the wind.
"O... On X..." she whispered, then straightened. She had to try to look 'cool' in front of him. This prey animal couldn't keep her down. Fangs bared, Jibanza lunged for Chachili's neck...
(( Sorry for the delay, Seaki. ^^- My hand's kind of screwed up... >< But it's healing. x3 ))

((I's alright. I've been sort of... braindead and working on school stuffies anyways))
"Woah now," Koin said softly, catching the sand colored puppy by her scruff to stop her. Dust settled behind him, since he had skidded to a stop after running.
On-X blinked as he neared them and sat down. "Err..." he said tilting his head lightly.
((Sorry for the so short response))

Jibanza looked upwards at the figure that now towered over her. She blinked... once, twice, three times. There was a wild dog... and he was stopping her. But why?...
What did a random wild dog care for a klipspringer? Jibanza wriggled desperately to try and escape Koin's grasp.
"Leggorroffme!" she growled, her voice muffled by the wind as she dangled in the air, her scruff held tightly by Koin. She fell silent, however, as she noticed On X near closer. Oh, the shame! She'd been found in a way that held no dignity. Jibanza, blushing, lowered her head.
Chachili sighed, and looked to Koin. She chuckled. Why was it that they always ran into eachother?... She took a breath of Koin's scent. Familiar, and kind of a comforting smell, as usual. But there seemed to be another scent hanging around his fur today... the scent of a stranger. A mate, perhaps? Chachili didn't know. Maybe she'd ask her friend about it later.
(S'okaaay! x3 Don't worry about short posts. xD <3 I luff them, yes yes! And, sorry about how slow I am... I'm slowly coming back to Gaia. I'll always reply, though. ;D I won't abandon my roleplays! <3 )

Koin set the put down. "You really shouldn't take her on," Koin said to the smaller wild dog. "You could get hurt." He would laugh, but he didn't. "Hello, Chachili." Koin said. "Seems like I wound up going in a circle again.
On-X made his way over to Jibanza. "Hi, Ban." he said. "You're away from your pack again. Is he with you?" X asked Ban, refering to Koin.

Chachili sighed, then shook her head.
"So you did, Koin, so you did," she smiled at this, and brushed up against Koin in greeting, "It was just luck you got here before this little pup latched onto my neck."
She scowled at Jibanza.
"My blood is not yours to drink, little one," she scolded. Jibanza shrank down, feeling even more dejected than before. She had failed to catch the klipspringer twice. What utter humiliation...
She looked around as On X padded by, and instantly her spirit rose.
"X!" she grinned, running to the hyena, "Nice to see you again, so soon! 'Cept, I'm not quite ready for that adventure yet... to the jungle, you know?" she listened as X spoke, and looked over to Koin, "Nope, he's not with me. He's with that prey animal over there. I was doing a bit of hunting practice!"
She wagged her tail. Chachili growled.
"Who are you both?" she asked On X and Jibanza...

Koin smiled at her greeting. "She's just a pup. A quick turn of the scruff can do wonders. I think that what happened last time we were here was a bit worse then a pup," Koin said, with a happy tone.
On X smiled. "I haven't forgotten," he stated. Hearing the prey animal speak. "I'm On-X," he said, not giving his nickname of X. He would prefer if only his friend called him that. "And who might you be, prey?"
((Happy belated Birthday. Sorry that I missed it D: ))

The klipspringer sighed, then nodded and grinned. "Yeah, that's true. That leopard sure had it coming to him. At least this one's just... well, small fry," she looked at Jibanza, scowling slightly. The little wild dog glared back at her, eyes blazing.
Jibanza seemed furious, but she wasn't going to take on Koin. He was older than she, and he seemed strong. She, instead, walked to X's side. She felt stronger when she was by him... he was her first friend, after all!
Chachili, on the other hand, had never seen On X before in her life. "A hyena, are you?" she asked, tilting her head. She'd seen plenty of them before, around the Elephant Graveyard. Hyenas were brutal, and often took wild dogs as slaves. At least, that's what Chachili thought. Her thinking was, in fact, biased as well. She was, after all, pretty ignorant.
"So, you're a hyena? So, On X, is that wild-dog you have with you your slave? That one who tried to take me down... she's your runner, isn't she? Your little wild-dog slave who is forced to do your bidding."
She narrowed her eyes, and clicked her hooves together. That must be it! Jibanza was slave to On X!
Jibanza, on the other hand, almost choked.
"S...SLAVE?!" she gasped, feeling anger well up inside her, "I'm slave to nobody! And X is my friend! Isn't that right, X?"
She looked at On X.

"He did. He should have judged better..." Koin said with a light smile. On X just sat, shaking his head with a litle smirk playing his features.
"Yes, I am a hyena," On X said, confirming what he was. He wondered why the prey animal wanted to know.
A slave?
"No, she's not my slave," On X insisted. "She's my friend." His eyes twinkled. "Why would I have a slave. Or anyone... They should be able to do things themselves," his eyes glittered with hate for anyone that had slaves. He saw it as wrong. No one should be treated that way.
He nodded and comfirmed what Ban was saying. "That's right..."
((You're welcome!))

Chachili stared hard at On X and then sighed.
"Ah, I see. So you're not one of those hyenas, then," her eyes glittered, "There are so many of your kind taking wild-dogs slaves around the Graveyard, that I instinctively think about these kinds of things when I see the two species travelling together."
She lowered her head, remembering the time when she had snuck into the Graveyard for an attempted rescue. The rescue hadn't gone to plan, though, and the wild-dog had stayed captive.
"Koin, if you're wondering what I'm talking about, you should know about those Graveyard folk," she muttered, "They're horrible creatures. Taking your kind captive, all the time, they do."
She sighed, then looked up to On X.
"If you're not looking for slaves, then," she said, "You're welcome here. As long as you don't try anything."
Koin would help her, anyway, if either of them attacked her. They didn't seem the cold-blooded type, however, so Chachili felt quite secure anyway.
Jibanza nodded at X, feeling warm. "That's right!" she looked at Koin, "X and I are going to the Jungle together, someday! And that's by my own will... I'm slave to nobody. I'm a friend, that's all."

"I wouldn't take anyone as a slave..." On X said, staring a bit coldly at the prey animal in front of him.
Koin shifted his weight a little. "I'll be sure to stear clear of the graveyard then," Koin said with a light nod.
"I won't try anything," X said. Why did he have to be downgraded for the others of his kind. It didn't seem right to him.
Then again. Ban had tried to attack the klipsringer. That was probably the reason for the kilpspringer's words.
"Yes. We are going to the jungle... once we get older.... We can't defend ourselves all that well with... her smallness," X said with a smirk, teasing Jibanza.

Chachili nodded, and looked at On X. Her suspicions dropped a little as she noticed that he seemed... well, a little upset by her acusation. A little like how she was always acused of 'being nothing but a dumb prey animal'. Ah, well, that was life. And plus, she felt strongly protective over her little ones. Especially now. Something had occurred, and Chachili was feeling very uneasy about it. But, Koin had come at a good time. A very good time. She needed to talk to him... discuss something with him.
She turned to Jibanza and X. They looked only young, and she wondered if they had seen much of the world. They had mentioned the Jungle, hadn't they?...
Chachili was knocked back into reality by laughter.
"My smallness?" Jibanza growled, nudging X playfully, "Heeey... I'm only a tad smaller than you, you know, X!"
She nipped his ear, gently, to show her false 'irritation'. But really, her heart felt light. When they were older, they were really going to go to the Jungle!
It sounded like something from a fairytale. Jibanza was leading a fairly normal, happy life.
However, Chachili was not. Something terrible was about to enter her life. And she had to tell Koin.
After all, Koin was the most trusted friend she had...

On X sighed, feeling he didn't need to feel on guard around the older Wild Dog and his companion, though he was still a bit on guard, in case anyone wanted to try anything.
On X grinned. "You must be kidding! You're a lot smaller," On X said jokingly to the female wild dog.
Koin was watching Chachili, with a lith side glance, watching the younger ones. "Is something the matter Chachili..?" Koin asked. His friend seemed to zone out a bit.

While Jibanza was busy giving On X playful nips and tackles, Chachili's eyes looked solemnly up to Koin.
"You can read me like a book, Koin," she sighed, chuckling a little, "Worry must show easily on my face. Or, otherwise, you must know me only too well."
She gave another sigh, harder this time. Filled with much more... sorrow.
"Koin..." she whispered, her eyes glistening with fear, "...I... I'm hearing voices. Maybe it's the stress, maybe I'm just not getting a lot of sleep. But... they're telling me things. Things about my fawns."
Her stomach churned.
"The voices I'm hearing... they ask for my fawns. They demand my fawns..." she turned to Koin, her voice quivering, "And I can't get them out of my head. It's all about my children. Ever since I had them, the voices won't stop. What if they take them away?"
She felt so... ashamed. She must seem crazy to him. Chachili always wanted to be strong, but today, her feelings were coming out in a wave of emotion.
Jibanza's ears twitched.
"Geez," the little wild dog whispered to On X, "That klipspringer sure has some weird problems."
(( xD That's okay! <3 Haha... we're both real apologetic, eh? Oh, and by the way... >< the thing Chachili is hearing is actually part of a plot... thing. xD It's not entirely random. ><; <3 Anyywaaaay... hope to catch you online sometime soon! ;D ))
