On-X yawned as he padded foreward. Ears flicking every now and then to sounds he heard. He stopped walking and sat down.
Maybe he could rest here?
He looked around to see if anyone was going to get him while he rested. He hoped not. He slid lightly into a laying position and curled up, keeping one eye open.

Lamyae spotted the young male her eyes twinkling with intrigue, she had been seeing many young ones altley and most of them with quite the attitude. Her dusty fur blended into the surrounding area, here the dark was everywhere.
"Hello little one, why are you alone?" she held back her chittering laughter as she spoke, her words smooth and graceful, her movements smooth and graceful. It was hard to imagine a hyena with such an air to her, but in fact Lamyae had a preacher's way.

"I'm not alone," X stated. For a hyena, he rarely laughed. "You're standing right there. I don't call that alone," he smiled a bit. He tilted his head at her oddness. He didn't really mind being called little. He was small, after all. "Who're you?"

"I am Lamyae, who are you?" she said bluntly giggling at the young hyena's statement. "I don't think you should be wandering, where is your pack?"

Another young one that was abandoned, another young one to try and bring into her fold, she was starting to be like the crazy pup lady, collecting little ones to teach and help.
"Being a part of a pack will help you grow into a better hyena, I am the alpha of the Mwangaza and as long as you are willing to follow our rules you may join us, we will keep you safe."

"Follow rules?" he asked. "As long as we can travel, I'll follow just about any rules..." he said. "What are the rules though...?" he asked. He blinked sleepily.

"you must never harm another living soul unless it is for food. Never kill another hyena or lion. You must trust a lion and believe that the all mighty goddess of hyenas is your protector. Of course other rules will be added, we are a new group," her voice was soft and motherly. She wanted him to join to try and protect him, besides there were many hyena puppies in the pack, it was perfectly fine for her to want this little one for them to play with.
"You may at least stay with us until you are old enough to leave, if you prefer?"

His ears flicked lightly as he listened to the rules. "May I ask a question, please? Besides this one, that is." he asked the older Hyena.
He nodded. He's have to meet up with Ban when he was older. He promised he that he would.

"Ask all the questions you want," she paused musing, "questions and finding answers are the way to enlightenment." It was sad to say that Lamyae was all about making others feel welcome and little mattered except for people she wanted to join her.

"You I be allowed to defend myself if, in any case, I was attacked by another and I accidently hurt them," he asked. "Would that be breaking a rule?" It was his only qestion. He just needed to comfirm that one question, and he would not mind joining.

"AS long as you did not attack another out of spite and hatefulness because of what they were then you are fine. Later as the pack grows and more are seen there may be rules added. But, yes you can defend yourself if the need arises," She nodded, such an odd question for a young one.
Lamyae was confused and even repulsed by the amount of fear that lay within puppies as well as some adults. There was no need for such hate and anger, no need to fear your own kind. But, didn't Lamyae herself fear others?
"Are you hungry or thirsty?" She had to pull her mind away from such thoughts as fear.

He nodded at her respones and his right ear flicked lightly. He didn't hate anyone. It didn't seem narutal for him at such a young age. He just wanted to be sure of himself.
He yawned. "Hungry or thistsy? I never caught anything before. And grass hurts my tummy..." he said. "And it doesn't taste very good..."
He'd think he had to catch something on his own. He didn't know better, after all.
"I'm a bit tired though..." he said, with another wide yawn. He cackled a little bit, though it was light.

"No worries little one I'll catch something!" She giggled playfully, it had been a while since she was happy and able to catch something for another person.
She skittered off like a young puppy ready to catch something and before long her dark form was easily seen back beside him, a large hare between her teeth, trickled of blood flowing down the sides of her maw.
"Eat up kid, and then you can take a nap," she paused, "stick with me kid and you'll never go hungry again!"

He nodded and watched her skitter off. She returned quickly, suprising him a bit. He gave her a large grin as she told him to eat up. He gorged on the rabbit, eating his fill, but his eyes were bigger, way bigger then his stomach, so he couldn't finish it. "Thankyou Miss Lamaye," he said sweetly to her.
