Of all the RO players we've got here, how many of you have actually read the manga? I haven't, because I heard it wasn't so great from a friend of mine. I passed up buying it at Waldenbooks yesterday because I wanted to get a second opinion first (or in this case, fourth or fifth opinion).

It looked boring to me.. And I heard it has like, nothing to do with the game.
If you want something like the game, try the anime. It's kinda.. low-quality, but it's not HORRIBLE. confused

Usually bookstores have chairs or something you can sit in and read the book before you buy. :3
That is what I do.
I read part of the manga and got bored; but most mangas bore me nowadays.

The manwha is alright. D: I'm only on about the fourth volume though. u_u I haven't read it in forever, but I think the fight scenes were a bit confusing and cluttered for me to tell what was going on exactly. xD;
But the picchurs were pretty at least. :D ...I think they were at least. D:

Wait which one are you guys talking about? The original manwha created by Lee Myung Jin which then inspired Gravity to create MMORPG of? or the Manga made by some unknown artist in Japan which was inspired by the game RO?

I liked it ok. It had a lot of really...really...REALLY big boobs. @.@
And that got a little annoying, but overall it wasnt that bad. It went on too long, but I say its worth buying at least the first three.
Ragnarok: The Animation was better though. It was really cute, a little cheesy , and was more like the game. @w@

One of my friends was raving about it. I went to Barnes & Noble and I picked it up. I could never get past page 2 it's so boring D:
I tried the anime too. Not so good, I like the OP theme though. I think the anime would've been better if it were like .hack//Legend of the Twilight. Like it's really just a bunch of people playing an MMO but it's still cool ya know?

It was really cute, a little cheesy , and was more like the game. @w@ Might have been more like the game but the character development was excuse my language here, kuso (look it up in a japanese dictionary if your that curious). We have a whiney princess Yuufa who has a incest? liking towards her older brother and Iruga. The main character is at first patheticly weak and become stupid with brawn later in the series. Merchant can kill Bloody Knight with one mammonite -_- Oh did I mention the wizard in this series can single handedly block a sword with a candy cane? He also has enough agi to dodge double strafe from a hunter. hah! If I didnt know any better I'd have made a Wizard as my first character and be greatly disappointed when I find myself in woe being made into a beehive.

But RO the animation isn't based on numbers and etc like in the game, it's a real life thing. So with the whole... technical stuff like the Wizard and Merchant, you can't quite compare it with the game, at least the way I see it. :3

Still a wizard really shouldnt be that fast or strong (Unless Roan was just incredibly pathetically weak), and then he dies from one single arrow attack from a Raydic Archer-_- Remind me but didn't he mop the floors with Moonie in one LoV? lets not forget Zealotus dying from one LoV too xD
In my eyes Roans just made a lousy hero -_-
One sane person I did find though should probably be either Keough(The laws of physics in RO dictates opposite = normal hence insanity = sane xD )
Is it just me or the anime give twisted clues as to who Zealotus's father maybe? I have a hunch something to do with Baphomet and a human woman... Lets not go there /wah
DL was a cheap mvp hiding behind a Safety Wall /sob uncool....
you can tell I have many dislikes about the anime xD

Hmn... the manga is ok. What you have to understand is that the manga was created first and then the game was based off it later. So in terms of likeness to the game, there are only a few. Anyways, its still a good manga, if you're into, the action genre, a little bit of history (and of course Ragnarok), then you'll be into the manga.
The anime thats based off the game however....it annoyies me. To many "flaws" a guess you could say.

I heard the manwha is on delay, so you'll never get to see it end because Myung Jin is helping Gravity with the game.

Hmmm,Here,at Brazil,the anime was a huge sucess(just because the game)
Of course there's a few errors and etc,but I think the anime at total is good purposed.I hope Gravity fix the errors at this version,and the Second "Version" of the Anime can be really good
