Its Goguryo. The top half, which makes up a large portion of the Manchurian region was once Goguryo. The new Jumong drama and the other drama don't really help much with the dispute and political relations

well, i suppose it should be that way. makes room for character development. That way, Jumong grows to become the founder

Yup. stare

Also, before Korea was known as Koriyo, it was known as Tong-il Silla (somethin' like that), since Silla had pretty much taken over the other two kingdoms and united 'em blahblahablah... stare

Actually, at the time, they took it over. DUH. That was how things were before--you win the war, you get that land. Korea also took land over like that, too, so Korea would have also commited theft. Pretty much all countried have commited theft, then. neutral

apparently, its not the theft of land, but the theft of history. China is claiming ownership of Goguryo and Balhae history
PostPosted: Fri Sep 29, 2006 3:51 pm

But then who knows which is which? There's that saying... "The one who wins the war makes the history"...

Well, I think it's because Korea owned some of what is now China's land. But now it's China's territory and they think it's theirs.. I think...

Hm yeah that's usually how life works... There is always someone who is after another person's territory. There's nothing you can do about it really. Well you could start a war, but I don't know what that will achieve. My guess is probably nothing.

the issue is about history, not territory
