I agree with Billy Hatcher that'd be sweet. And how about Soma Cruz or Juste Belmont from Castlevania.

why not include Taki or Mitsurugi, or Ivy from the Soul Calibur games? maybe the Sailor Senshi form the Sailor Moon SNES games. it would be an interesting change. maybe Naruto Uzumaki or other Naruto characters from the Naruto Clash of Ninja/Gekitou Ninja Taisen games. maybe even Kyle Katarn or Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars games.

Sailor Moon and Star Wars didn't start as games, therefore they wouldn't fit into a game that consists only of video game characters. Also, I think Soul Calibur guys should stick with Soul Calibur because the SSB games don't have crazy combo moves, and the SC characters would be quite boring without the combos.
Moving on, my boyfriend and I were talking about this just the other night, and we think Gordon Freeman should be in a SSB game. His weapon could be a crowbar, his grab/throw could be the gravity gun, his ranged attack could either be one of the Half-Life guns or that bug bait pod. He would just make a really cool character. cool

last I checked, Half Life never graced a Nintendo console, therefore Halflife and it's LAME expansions "counterstrike" which spawned that language from hell we know as "leet", would never be on Smash Bros.
and so we're clear, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon, and Star Wars have graced Nintendo consoles. the Sailor Moon fighting games, the Sailor Moon puzzle games, even Bishoujo Senshi Sailor moon: Another Story, were all titles released on the SNES. excellent games.
characters from Star Wars characters have graced Nintendo consoles with the Star Wars Trilogy showing up on the NES, SNES, as Episode 1 Racer showed up on Gameboy, Gameboy Color, N64, and dont forget Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Accademy on Gamecube.
the stipulation for 3rd party characters to show up on Smash Bros. BRAWL was that they graced a Nintendo console, and to my count thats...
Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus, Sailor Pluto, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Chibi-Moon, Sailor Saturn, Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Star Fighter, Sailor Star healer, Sailor Star maker... *deep inhale* Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker, Qui gon jin, Obi wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Chewbaca the wookie, Princess Leia Organa Skywalker, Wicket(Ewok form episode 6: Return of the Jedi), Kyle Katarn, Tavion, Desaan, Dash Rendar(Shadows of the Empire N64 game), Emperor Palpatine, and many more characters!

Bottom line, Peach and Zelda prancing about are annoying enough, and we don't need Sailor Scouts adding to that. confused
How about the Prince from Prince of Persia? That would be pretty cool.
And just because Gordon hasn't been on Gamecube, doens't make it any less cool to think about. And Counterstrike is not an expansion, it's an entirely seperate game that used the Half-Life engine, just like there are games that use the Unreal engine too. stare

obviously you havent seen the Sailor Senshi in action.
from experience, both in games and in watching the anime, the Sailor Senshi are fierce in battle, putting it all on the line for the sake of the innocent.
Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi-Moon arent so much for fighters. they are... well "like mother like daughter" to put it bluntly, the moons arent too tailored to fighting except if left on their own and made to fight the odds on their own.
Sailor Mercury is more for the mental edge, using her brains to win battles rather than brawn, her water and ice powers are proof enough.
Sailor Mars is spiritual in her ability to use her spirit ward sutras from her shinto priestess career, and while able to use her sutras to paralyze foes, she can unleash massive barrages of fire to incinerate foes.
Sailor Jupiter is by far the physically strongest of the Sailor warriors, able to lift opponents several times her size and weight, and with martial arts skill, she can put even the greatest of fighters to shame, combined with her electric and forest powers, she can take any number of opponents down, clearly the fighter of the "inner" sailors. her strength and martial arts skill put her as a fearsome opponent who is nearly impossible to defeat.
Sailor Venus, her powers are around the power of love, with her heart put into every one of her attacks, more a prequel to Sailor Moon, but her experience puts her in a class simmilar to Sailors Mercury and Jupiter, experience helps her achive victory, though she is simmilar in intelligence to Sailor Moon.
Sailor Pluto has by far the most experience since she has watched time flow through the gates of time, and her control over time makes her dangrous from all sides, her Dead Scream and Chronus Cyclone are proof enough of her tremendous time power, though once disarmed of her key, she is powerless.
Sailor Uranus is by far the fastest moving Sailor of the team, she is at best an above average fighter, but also not imune to Sailor Jupiters wrath.
Sailor Neptune is quite elegant and very lady-like, using water moves which flow with tremendous power, her only weakness is that she may be too lady-like.
Sailor Saturn, the sailor of death, her silence glaive is feared even by her own teamates, she is also known as the sailor of rebirth, her Death Reborn Revolution attack is devastating, killing anything that isnt aligned with good, outside of battle she is relatively weak, making her vulnerable to attack outside of battle, but she can dish out some heavy damage from hidden power if pushed too far.
they're not as 2D as the steriotype of a bouncy fun loving girl, the Sailors are quite interesting characters to say the least.

the fact is that Gordon and other Half Life characters have not been on a Nintendo console, therefore forbids them from showing up on a Smash Bros game. Solid Snake graced the NES in Metal Gear, and the Gamecube in Metal Gear Solid the Twin Snakes ported and upgraded games.
