I don't know about you, but in addition to comics and comic book related merchandise, my local shop offers a fine selection of collectible games. Mainly Magic the Gathering, Heroclix, and other similar interesting ways to build a customizable game that can be played against others who partake.

Of which I used to be one. Before moving to arizona and back, I frequently engaged in tournament play (which, sadly has ceased at the shop, but that's a completely different matter.). I recently decided that now would be a good ime to get into some casual play. And it occurred to me that, with video gamers, comic fans, and cartoon afficionados in ze guild, there were sure to be a few collectible gamers, as well. And so, I decided to open the Workshop as a way for us to share deck/troop lists and strategies. because after a few years out of the loop, I could use a little help myself . . .

I want to get back into a game, either Magic or VS System, but none of my friends want to play anything and I don't want to just play tourneys.

I used to play Heroclix a few years back but none of my friends liked it so i eventually stopped. I still have every non-unique from the first set to the Silver Surfer set I think.

I play Magic though. Its funny, I used to play at the shop every weekend with my friends for the last two years but ever since about seven months ago I stopped. We usually just go to one friend's house (the same friend everytime xd ... his Mom makes the best brownies) and play magic/risk/halo/ect.

I've got some pretty cool magic decks but my friends are Gods compared to me costruction wise. I'm a pretty good drafter though. 3nodding

Before Christmas last year, I was on my way to playing Magic - I have a green/white deck that one of the guys put together for me for free.
Long story short, I never got to play casual play due to unseen circumstances. I thought about hanging around the shops to pick it up, but that will have to be starting after the Christmas rush.
I can share my Elf deck if you're interested.

So. Anyone liking the cards in time twist? I'm still trying to decide. Of course, I've only got 2 startrs and 1 booster to decide from ^^;;

I havn't played at all since I graduated high school in 2005. So, I've missed all the sets since then.

Skull lair was my best friend until they changed the rules on that card.... It used to be that you could remove any card from your graveyard and destroy your opponents monster with that many stars, now you can only remove monster cards from your graveyard.... Then every time I remove a card from play i would gain lifepoints from one of my spell cards... BWahahaha!
