Okay..His voice dub is meant to be gentle, not whiney. He may whine a little, but other characters whine a heck of a lot more than Al. He is very good at not being selfish and whiney. When someody has had as much taken away from them as Alphonse has, it's very hard to act as cool and collected about it as he does.

Envy is evil yet cool.

Havoc will never find a girlfriend (poor Havoc *hugs*).

Armstrong is greatly annoying.

Winry can be very mean, stay away from people with wrenchs

People shrink when they are old (just look at Pinako)

People can rot while they'er still techically alive (eww)

Short people can be violent (I know this cause i'm short as well).

You can live and not be brained damage after getting hit in the head with a wrench many times.
