Aniane and Spyse set out along the crossroads of the mysterious woods, heading away from known dangers into a world that was equally, or even more, dangerous. As they approached the place where the road split off, the split seemed to change before their eyes. From a distance it seemed like two paths of equally pleasant, green qualities. As they came closer it revealed itself to be three of very differing qualities;
The first looked older because it was very narrow, thorns leaning threateningly into the cleared space. The forest seemed a shade of healthy beyond, with extremely thick undergrowth and flitting bird-life. The second was wide but the plants began to brown and dry out in the distance, leaving a hard rocky path to tread in the shade of dwindling trees. The third was also a good width, and shaded by tall evergreens and canopy trees while remaining virtually free of undergrowth.
"I'd flip a coin," Aniane said as they stood in front of their choices, "but, umn, there's three."

Looking at each path, quickly losing her focus as she saw the birds fly about in the treetops of one pass, Spyse shrugged and offered a simple answer, but something that might work. How about you find the one you definately don't want to take and then flip between the other two? Personally I like this one over here. She pointed down the path with no undergrowth. Easier for you to get away from any dangers, I could just run or climb. Though I suppose you could hang onto my back if need be and ride as I ran. Spyse seemed to go off into her own world of thought as she waited for Aniane's opinion on which one not to go through.

Aniane looked between the second and third, torn. He didn't actually want to flip a coin, but it might come down to that.
"That one in the middle looks a lot dryer, almost desert... I'm familiar with the desert. I might be able to protect us better there. But the third one will probably have more animals of the type that you like to hunt. Not that the middle one won't. Have you ever been to the desert?"
