It was the night before the departure, so Moyo had slipped off and across the plain, relishing in the few moments of privacy she was allotted before Kiwi led them to the Pridelands.
Not that she didn't enjoy being with her family--it was the best thing on earth to her--but having a few moments to herself, to collect her thoughts on the past few days and such, really made an impact on everything else.
The new cubs were doing fantastic. All four were active and adorable. Paki was learning how to cope with being blind, Johari was looking up to Moyo as a role model. Nitesh was tackling everyone and getting into trouble (Moyo could honestly say that rolling around was her little brother's favorite thing to do), and Mvita was being Mvita. Moyo didn't know what to think of her yet. They hadn't spent much time together. Oh well. There was always the future.
Moyo came across an all too familiar watering hole, one with large rocks and a few trees here and there. This was the first body of water Kifijo and Tana had led the three cubs to when they were little. A smile came to the lioness' face as she remembered good times past as she gazed into the water.
