A friend and I were RPing in the Glass Violin when our characters came up with an idea that seemed to be not only feasible, but a fairly interesting goal in a roleplay context; Ariel and her new friend Ash (both passionate musicians) want to try and rebuild and repair the music hall. They decided that, though it was wonderful as-is, it would have been amazing when it was new. They want to bring it back to that sort of granduer.

We're perfectly willing to roleplay any aspect of the process of gaining permission to do this, including any conversations with administrators, as well as the actual tasks of renovation. We plan on spending a lot of time in there anyway XP.

We think it would be good for Ria, not to mention an interesting bit of background storyline, and want to know what you think of the idea.

That "why" vote makes me curious. If you encountered a place that, for one reason or another, became important to you, and that place was in the kind of shape that the Glass Violin is in, wouldn't you want to change that? Wouldn't you want to patch the holes, so to speak? I'd love to hear why you voted "why", whoever you are.

The Glass Violin, being a place of and for music and with a powerful past, is important to Ash and Ariel both as musicians, and also to Ariel as a mage. They want to fix it because it is important to them. They want help because the task is much too large for two teenage girls to accomplish alone, though they'd try even if they couldn't get any help.

It's not like you really need to ask permission XP. Just let us know you want to get involved. I'm trying to figure out the details of how we're going to carry this through with Kurai, but I haven't heard from him in a couple of days, so we'll see what's going on when I get a chance to talk to him. He told me that he likes the idea, so it looks like it'll definitely happen, at least.

If we do some math, we can figure out what the difference is between our time zones, and use that to figure out when we can both talk. Sound good?

Yay responses! Awesome. We're still working on the details, but I think I want to just go with roleplaying it as a storyline, with whoever's interested.
