Ever wonder who cloud actually fought for in the final fantasy 7 movie?Many people i know think he fought for a memory.Who do u think he fought for...

i think he fought because sephiroth betrayed him. dunno really yet sweatdrop

He wasn't intending to fight anything at the beginning.
But later on he realises what is truly important.
His memories, his friends, his family, himself, everything he loved, basically.
So he fights for everything.

1.his friends (like hulk hogan)
2.the orphans(like nacho libre)

i agree with everyone who says that cloud fought for his friends and the planet and what not. But quite possibly he fought becasue he was provoked by Kadaja and his gang and one thing lead to anouther.

Cloud fought because that's what Cloud does. Always and forever... Cloud will fight. If he really didn't want to fight he wouldn't have kept his weapons.. And I love him for it.

He fought for what was dear to him. His comrades, Aeris, Tifa...everyone.

actually the point of Advent Children was Cloud Fought for Forgivness. because he felt as if he had abandoned everyone he cared about. (If you saw the movie, he NEVER picked up his cell phone.)
He especially fought for Aeris to forgive him becuase he feels it was his fault for her death by Sephiroth's Hand. So he feels Taking his life will make him feel better.

Each Final Fantasy Game has a Theme to it. (FF6=Godsend, FF7=Time and Revenge bbieng Cloud has to save the world before Meteor hits and getting back at sephiroth. FF8=Love which is new to me, FFX=is Religion, all those Religous moments about saving the world from sin and doing all this other crap.) so yeah they all have a theme behind the story.

When Sephiroth asks Cloud what he most cherishes (so he can take it away) Cloud responds, "You just don't get it: there isn't anything I don't cherish."
He was obviously fighting for everything. He developed throughout the movie. At the beginning he was passive, depressed, and lost. Then he met Aeris again, and she and Tifa helped him realize that he was dwelling on the past (Aeris's death). It was at that point that he "got back the strength to fight" as Tifa put it. He faught for Denzel, Marlene, Aeris, Tifa, Zach, and also himself. He gained self worth while protecting all that was dear to him.
