Perilas had written on the board 'evil-tempered', 'acidic slime drool', and 'capable of breathing underwater'. He hoped that the dragon for this class didn't drool too much acid on his floor. Blacks weren't always the most fun dragons to deal with...

Chath tapped on the outside door gently before popping his head into view. His yellow hair was messy and seemed unkept and he wore a silly grin on his face that was a bit lopsided.
"Ello." He said as he entered the room only to stop and gesture the sign of come here behind him. But nothing appeared and Chath let out a sigh.
"Sorry Keir is a bit...relunctant to come in. He isn't much for the indoors." He explained and left the room again only to be this time holding a thick coild of rope in his hand and a dragon that looked non-too impressed.
Keir was being humilated. This was something he did not wish to come to. He already knew enough about himself so why did he have to be here? He gave a low growl as he spotted the teacher, his eyes never leaving the human form.

Perilas started to greet the boy when the newt child turned to gesture for someone, or something, most likely his dragon. The man nodded at the child's explination and watched as the black dragon was lead in by a rather thick rope.
"To start, do you have any questions about... Keir?" He wasn't sure if that was what the boy had said the dragon's name was.

Chath looped the rope end several times around his forearm and then looked at his dragon out of the corner of his eye. |
"Well I have several questions..." he stated noticing that his dragon was staring intently at the teacher and not in a friendly manner.
"My biggest concern is...how big is he going to get?" he asked for this had been bothering him for a while. For yes...while Kier was this size he was managable...if he got bigger and still didn't listen then there would be some issues.

"Blacks are among some of the smaller dragons, only reaching about 85 ft for their full growth." The man grinned. "Not that it's that small, but they are smaller than several of the others."
"Your other questions...?"

"Alright.." smaller he supposed was good, "He will be able to fly correct? And it says onyour chalk board he can breath underwater? I didn't know that." he mused and then looked to Keir and noticed the dragon was looking quite...dangerous at the moment.
"Uh....will his acid get more potent as he ages? Will he be able to do other things beside spit acid?"

"Yes, he'll be able to fly. And blacks can breathe underwater. Though they prefer wading and lounging in shallower water over swimming even though they can swim." Perilas easily answered the first questions, then paused at the next. Blacks were known for their acidic drool, that was for sure.
"His acid might get more potent... though it's already quite strong. Though blacks mainly use spitting acid as their main weapon, but they can bite and claw like any other dragon."

Oh goody more fun to look forward too. but those things came as some horrible nightmare lurking around the back of his head. He knew it was possible but that was about it.
"do you know if when he gets odler he will...develope any unique feature? Like horns? or spikes?" he didn't want his dragon to become any more angerous than it already was.

"Blacks do grow horns. Also, as they age, the flesh about their horns and cheekbones starts to... disappear, leaving them with a sort of odd appearance where the skin is practically right on their skull."

Chath raised an eyebrow. "So...they start to look like zombies?" he asked feeilng a sinking feeling in his gut. Great...a super hero with a zombie dragon. What would people think?
"Er...anything else you think I should know? Any better way i can protect myself from..teeth, acid claws the likes?"

Perilas shrugged. "I guess you could put it that way...." He thought for a moment on the boy's questions. "Well, blacks can be kind of grumpy. They also like their meat to be sort of rotten. In the wild, they let their food set in the swamp water." He paused before moving on to the next question. "Well, you're a newt, so you can regrow anything that might get injured... But just be a friend to your dragon and he shouldn't hurt you." Too much, echoed in the man's head.

Chath looked to Keir would snortd in contempt and let a bit of acidic drool seep from the corners of his mouth. The plip plops os sizzeling reached the ears of those near.
"..oka..." Chath started looking to Keir in a mild horrific sort of manner. "So they grow horns, like ...rotten meat and look like zombies when they get older..."
"And I know I can regrow limbs and such but i can only imagine it will still hurt and be tramatazing.." he continued..

Peri chuckled softly as Chath basically summed up the class. "Yes, that would be about right." The man then shrugged. "I suppose it would, though I definately couldn't speak from personal experience there..."

"What are black dragons weakness?" he asked now thinking up a new question.

Perilas paused for a moment, thinking. "Well, black dragons like coins. Of all kinds. They love to collect them." The man stated. That was one type of weakness.
