Ladon is a vain, arrogant individual, with high opinions of himself and incredibly low opinions of others. He thinks himself somehow more important than other people, convinced that despite his serpentine appearance he is fantastic looking. Though this trait does not fledge immediately in his childhood, the seeds of arrogance are there and will grow as he does.
Around others first impressions are paramount, if someone looks weak in any way, he'll be overbearing and a general pain, if not then he'll typically remain aloof and cautious, looking for their flaws - since after all, he's convinced everyone has them.

 In Greek mythology, Medusa (Greek: Μέδουσα (Médousa)), was a monstrous female character whose gaze could turn people to stone.
Some classical references describe her as one of three Gorgon sisters. Medusa, Stheno, and Euryale were monsters with brass hands, sharp fangs and hair of living, venomous snakes. The Gorgons and their other sisters the Graiae (and possibly the Hesperides), and their brother Ladon were children of Phorcys and Ceto, or sometimes, Typhon and Echidna.
