There are simularitys but that goes for the rest of sci-fi back then. What I find most simularities is in the countries around Iraq and Afganistan.

Ichigosama There are simularitys but that goes for the rest of sci-fi back then. What I find most simularities is in the countries around Iraq and Afganistan. This could be because they are near to each other right?

I don't mean similarities in the countrys. I am comparing the countries to the books. Be it names, words and phrases, being about (no affence to anyone so please excuse the Star Wars term) the Sand People and other things.

Of course, he took much of his influence from the Middle-East, which contains much desert.

Anything is possible. It's just a matter of work and enginuity. I think the only thing in the book that would be near impossible to make, or at least extremely impractical, would be the Carry-all's beating beatle like wings.

Look at computers now.
Now I want you to look at computers five, ten years ago. Now, imagine computers in a milenia.

Exactly. I mean AI has been in the works for along time now and look how far back AI has even been talked about. Almost everything in Sci-Fi is mans down fall to it's creations. That could be seen as a bad omen to some. And it is true man has to think on his own less and less these days because of thinking machines
