For me, school starts wednesday. Which means choir starts wednesday. I'm so excited, usually she starts us out by warming us up for a while then handing out insanely hard pieces to figure out how much talent she has to work with. GO NEIGHBOR'S CHORUS! (Hear it HERE)

We started last Sunday, technically, with Chamber Choir. We had our first official chamber rehearsal today, and we have our first concert choir rehearsal tomorrow.
Oh, and I'm a soprano now! At least for chamber choir. I'll have to ask Dr. McConnell tomorrow if he wants me to stay alto for concert choir or switch over entirely.

I finally got chorus back on my schedule (since it was impossible last year), but there's a new teacher for it now. D:
My old teacher was great, I loved her. I'm hoping the new teacher is just as good.

I don't have Concert Choir until the 7th of September (we start school on the 6th, but we only have four classes a day, so choir is the next day), but I am excited (it's my Senior year!). We'll have a lot to do this year, and I can't wait to get started. Even though the first couple of classes we introduce the choir councel and work on putting people in sections. (Which is really boring....for the old members. *sigh* For the new ones it's exciting.)

YESH I missed choir! I'm like all excited because I miss band and choir and drama club, I'm like jumping up and down with excitement every time someone mentions school O.o;;
We start September 5th or something like that crying so far away.

I'm in a new school this year. That means new choir teacher. I've heard good things about him, but I doubt he can measure up to my old teacher. He was the best ^^.

So, I am officially a Sopralto.
I say this because in school, I now sing solely Soprano (AGH! SCARY! HIGH NOTES BAD! *hides*) But I'm still singing alto at church because, frankly, that early in the morning, I need a lot more than a 5 minute warm-up to sing the soprano parts for our anthems. I just hope that Dr. Wright (church choir director) and Robin (voice teacher) don't start talking and she tells him how I'm switching sections, because he'll probably try to make me descant. eek
It's great to be back and singing again. We're working on a name for the chamber choir, because a few people didn't like that name. Jessie said it reminded her of chamber pots xd . We're thinking Voices of the Knight (since out mascot is the Knights), but we haven't decided yet.
We're singing fun things this year though. smile Chamber is singing a couple jazz pieces, and concert is doing a gorgeous Palestrina called Sicut Cervus.

I don't do school choir, I got kicked out because I kept missing performances for my other choir that placed third in nationals last year. *Shrugs* But I'm very pumped for normal choir. XD
