I remember when I first heard of Twilight. A good friend of mine was reading it. Then suddenly, a line was forming at school of the girls that wanted to read it. I got into the line before it got really long. They way my friends talked about was like it was the most important thing ever. (I understand now.) When I read it, I was amazed. It was so good. No, good can't even begin to describe. I had to get my own copy after that, and I did.

One of my friends from school had posted about it on her xanga. Something like "I just finished reading that amazing book for the third time. There's nothing else like it." So I went on amazon to look for it, read the summary they had up, bought it two days later at the mall. <3

One Of my School friends was reading it and she was all "OMG JENNY YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK! ITS SO GOOD! YOU'LL LOVE IT!" I remember she mentioned "Vampire" in there somewhere so I was reluctant to read it at first...But then I read the blurb and it sounded pretty good.
After I read it My life was pretty much complete. Now I'm one of the crazy Twilight *dying from waiting for New Moon* fans xD

My uncle gave me a giftcard to an independent bookstore near his house. When I flew down to visit him and go caving (funfunfun) , we stopped at the store so I could get a book for the flight home. I picked up Twilight, thinking it would be stupid, but I needed something to read, and ended up loving it almost as much as life itself. xD
I hate myself for thinking it would suck, but I love myself for actually getting it.

my friend kourtney was reading it in english, and she is really into reading romance junk. i started having fun stealing the book she had (Twilight) and i just opened it up to the middle and poking fun at anything romanctic and mushy. then , like the second or third day she had it, i started getting into it, and decided to read from the begining. then next few days after that, i kept stealing it from kourtney and reading it. i completely ignored the teacher, the class, and kourtney (even when kourtney was poking me in the back with her pencil). finally, kourtney let me borrow the book overnight, and i finished it in the kitchen!! and ignored my homework, but i was going to do that anyway. and another friend was reading it even before i was!! (she was getting it from kourtney in a different class.) eventually, because it was being raved on and on about how good it is, lots of other friends got to read it!! and they understand what the comotion was about.

I saw the cover in the school library and was like "That looks cool." Then I saw it in the bookstore and was like "I SAW THAT BOOK AT SCHOOL!" Lol... Long story made short.
I rave about Twilight to everyone I know... And to absolute strangers. Yes, completely serious.

I didn't have anything new to read, and I kept hearing about how good Twilight was. I also like to search around Amazon,a dn read inside the books, so I did that. And wasn't impressed. But then I saw how much all these people liked it, and read the summary and was like, "OMG I HAVE TO READ THIS" and I did.
End of story.
bakabaka135- I totally do the same thing! I'm lending it out to allll of my friends. Except now I'm going crazy because I can't re-read it every second of the day. And one friend reads at the speed of a parapelegic snail and is only at the part in Port Angeles even though she's been reading it for 4 days. AHH!! And I still have 4 more friends to go!

I was looking for any sort of book to read in my school library. I found it, read the back, then checked it out when I had a minute or so left to choose a book. I fell in love instantly. @-@

Hmm...for me, it happened in Waldens. or Borders. I can't remember which exactly. Anyways, I was searching through the shelves when that lovely red apple on the cover caught my eye. I walked on over, read the summery, and decided I would buy it. I pillaged my friend for the extra money I needed. I started reading...and well...I am speaking to you hear now as a Twilight addict.

I could say simply that my friend forced it on me, but because I like to make a long story long, I shall tell you my Twilight adventures to the fullest of my recollection.
During November of 2004 my friend was angsting about the fact that her mom had brought home a bunch of ARCs (her mom is a head librarian) and she wanted her to read it because it was about a vampire who hated everyone and was distant to everyone. So it turned out that he likes one person, the girl telling the story. The day before Christmas break she gave it too me. The ARC of Twilight. There was a movie deal written on the back which made her even more excited.
I started reading it then and there in my TAP class (which they soon disbanded because people were not doing any work and were basically skipping the class) with my old science teacher looming over me disapprovingly (no one else was behaving so he couldn't get me in trouble, besides I had already finished my work). Within the next day I had finished it and given it to my friend at our Christmas get together.
We were Twilight fangirls. And we had to wait nine months for it to officially come out.
So it came out. I bought it. The only difference between the two copies were that the official one had chapter titles. I almost rushed to put up a thread on Gaia's book forum. Then I realised, it had just been released and no one on Gaia had read it, probably. So I waited a month. No response and the thread died. A month later one person posted. On December 2nd I posted another thread. It reached it's 100th page today and became the Official Thread.
And now there's a guild and a sequel and several more to come!
And there's my Twilight story
