You see, I'm working with a Japanese game engine that allows one to make strategy video games like Fire Emblem and such, and I got the notion to make one that played similarly to the popular Super Robot Wars series, but exclusively focusing on the After Colony universe.

Unfortunately, programming entirely in Japanese is a real hassle, so I was hoping somebody whose skills are better than mine could help out.

For the curious, here's an idea of what the game looks like:

I know this is WAY behind.. but if you have AIM.. add Ivis Douglas. He's a friend of mine who works on Mech/Turn Based Games such as that. He'd know exactly how to help you.

It would help if it was in English... I don't know Japanese. LOL

I know some Japanese so I might be able to help. My mother is also a programmer so I might be able to get some help from her. Feel free to PM me.

Bah... if I knew Japanese, and the programming resembled Java, I could help... but that's about all I've got.

I believe the game was written using Visual C+, unfortunately.

Well if you can find a way to teach someone Japanese in absurdly short periods of time, I think I know a few people - some of them are on Gaia - who work with C+, C++, etc.

*cough*programing person*cough*

I can read Japanese.. and.. I program.. it's just that I little patience with it. <.< as I said.. add Ivis Douglas to AIM.. and he'll help. His name is Dan.. Just tell him taht Alex/Keiya refered him to you and he'll say something about me.. along with and XD.. and help you. He specializes in those types of games. I would help, I just lack patience.

I took C++ in college, but they didn't get heavily into the graphics engine for it. I was actually thinking of going back for my Masters, so, I might be able to help if there's a class with that.

C++ is somewhat similar to Java in that they're both object oriented... but the similarities end there. sweatdrop However, once you get past the reserved words, special characters, and built-in function names/libraries, you can practically program in almost any object oriented language once you know one.

Now, if you're drawing the characters and know what's supposed to go where, then I'm sure the person doing it in C++ can easily manipulate the graphics library to put the characters out correctly. Since you're not really outputting text, per se (judging from the screen shot), you might be able to get away with a programmer that doesn't know Japanese.
