I think the title is pretty self-explanitory...
As for me:
I'm working on arranging a tunes called Mambo Swing.
I thought it was a really cool tune, so I decided to some of my newly learned theory to the test and try arranging something.
Currently working out: The 1st Alto part

I'm working on writing 3 pieces, two of them not jazz for an IB project. The jazz one will probably be called "Offroad Tom" (reference to my friend). The other two will be a chorale style choir piece, and a multiple movement piece.
As well, I'm working on transcribing Tank! by The Seatbelts, and an arrangement of Girl In The Fire by Pendulum... *Brain esplodes eek *

Working on arranging Round Midnight (trying to do some wierd tempo changeups with it) and Only a Paper Moon. Also writing a new tune with cool rythm switchups. Desprately need to get the 3tet into the studio because our current recordings are stinky.

I've been out of Gaia recently, but now I am back in groove of the community.
Been working on an arrangement of the batman (da na na na na na na na BATMAN!) theme for for my school jazz band, trying to not make the piece boring by adding in some of my own melodies but still trying to make the piece recognizable.
Also, I went on a kind of musical journey where I studied and played music from the renaissance period then to the baroque, through the classical and romantic and wound up in atonal and twelve tone music. I learned alot of great things and overall I think I am a much better musician now. But I now I'm back to focusing my musical works to Jazz again.
Cheers
