Well me and Hairy Priest were talking in various other threads about the awesomeness of our dungeons and dragons collections. I made this thread because today i increased the awesomeness with the d&d icons gargantuan black dragon. Cost me £20. Worth every penny.

£20... ouch!
Very cool looking though.

Now you just need to get $75 for a Colossal Red Dragon... gonk

Which will work out at about £65 over here. I severely decreased my spending power with the black dragon though, and i wouldn't pay £65 anyway.

Well, my collection is rather large, so I think I have to do it by editions. Also much of my original collection was stolen in the late 90's, so this would be my 2nd collection... rebuilt largely through eBay purchases.

AD&D 1st Edition hardcovers
MM (Easley)
PHB (Otis & Easley covers)
DMG (Otis & Easley covers)
Deities & Demigods (1st printing, w/ Cthulhu and Melnibonean Mythos)
Fiend Folio
Oriental Adventures
MM2
Unearthed Arcana
Legends & Lore (reprinting of Deities & Demigods w/ new cover)
Dungeoneer's Survival Guide
Wilderness Survival Guide
Manual of Planes
Dragonlance Adventures
Greyhawk Adventures

Notice how many of those titles got recycled in both 2nd and 3rd edition D&D...

1E modules
A4 - In the Dungeons of the Slave Lords
C3 - The Lost Island of Castanamir
D1 & D2 - Descent into the Depths of the Earth
EX1 - Dungeonland
EX2 - The Land Behind the Magic Mirror
GDQ 1-7 Queen of the Spiders
I11- Needle
L2 - The Assassin's Knot
S1 - Tomb of Horrors
S2 - White Plume Mountain
S3 - Expedition to the Barrier Peaks
S4 - The Lost Cavern of Tsojcanth
T1-4 Temple of Elemental Evil
U1 - The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh
UK2 - The Sentinel

The above list is from memory, so I could have omitted something (or accidentally put something that I don't actually own). I would check, except all my D&D stuff is still back in Thailand. I should probably bring a few books back with me when I visit there in December.

Those are amazing collections, my collection is pathetic because i'm begining to get into D&D (still trying to figure out to create a character).

Well, my advice is to not be the DM. That's the person that usually ends up buying the most books.

The bulk of my collection is 2nd edition, and I can't remember too well what I have so I'm skipping to my 3E stuff for now. Everything's 3.0: I stopped playing just before 3.5E came out.

Hasbro/WOTC products
Deities & Demigods
Dungeon Masters Guide
Epic Level Handbook
Manual of the Planes
Monster Manual
Monster Manual II
Players Handbook
Psionics Handbook (original version, not the expanded one)

Book of Vile Darkness
Fiend Folio
Ghostwalk
Oriental Adventures
Savage Species

Forgotten Realms sub-line:
City of the Spider Queen
Faiths & Pantheons
Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting

As of yesterday: D20 future.

Currently under creation from this most awesome of D20 supplements.

A four-armed mutant dreadnought mecha pilot with horns.

A combat-fearing swindler with pheromonal attraction and (cos i couldn't resist) blue hair and wings xd

Hairy, your collection is huge. How long have you been playing? Me? Almost 2 years (I got the basic game christmas 2004)

I always wanted to try a d20 Modern/Future campaign, but I could never get anyone else to go for it. Instead, everyone just wants to spend their time working towards whatever funky prestige class they found some splat book.

Anyway, my 3E stuff I've just been buying since 2000. I quit in 2003, mainly because I needed to move overseas, and there just aren't a lot of people who play D&D in Thailand.

Many of my books have never seen actual use, and were just purchased to feed my habit of collecting things. neutral

My first collection was started during the 2E period. It was left in storage with a family friend in 2000, and we didn't realize it was stolen until 2002. So virtually all the 1E and 2E stuff I have now was bought between 2002-2003 via eBay (with some online gaming stores to fill in certain gaps). Sadly, I haven't yet been able to replace many of the Planescape stuff I used to own.

I have an unbroken run of Dragon magazines from issue #5 - #309...

eek

I have... lemme check... 0 Dragon magazines.

Add to that 0 dungeon magazines....

But we have, like, 3 gaming shops in town, all are tiny, 1 only sells warhammer and 1 you have to be 17 to enter on a weekday (which is bizarre, yet i have been in on weekdays before)

Hobby gaming stores are something of a dying breed these days, unfortunately.

You have some nice miniatures. Are you mostly getting them from the randomly assorted boxes, or buying them as singles on the secondary market? I'm guessing it's random, since I doubt the ethereal filcher or fiendish dire weasel will see much play...

There's no way I'm buying random minis; the ratio of crap versus good stuff is just too lousy. That said, Hasbro's minis are sweeet!

Bahamut and Tiamat from the War of the Dragon Queen set are just too cool. I'm also fond of the slaughterstone eviscerator. Isn't he cute?

This leaves me feeling slightly inadiquate. That said, most of my books don't get used that much anyway.

Question:

If knowledge is power, then why is the barbarian so awesome?
