I bought a pack of 10 at Wal Mart a few weeks ago for $8. But as I was writing the invitations, I realised I could make my own.
I havne't made them yet. But I scanned in the inside of one for a small pattern. After/As I make one, I'll put up a step by step guide.
If you want to go on ahead and try to make your own, here's the pattern sheet I made:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/Seraphynthetic/TeaCupCardPattern01.jpgIt's a huge image. 300 dpi, 901 kb, and 2540 pixles x 3483 pixels (8.5 x 11.7 inches)
arrow Just cut out the tea cup and use it as a pattern to draw them out on posterboard or cardstock. Cut them out and then fold them in half so that they look like a teacup. Cut a slit in it up where the gray line is.
arrow Cut out the white square as a pattern. Draw two of them on cardstock for each card. Cut them out. Glue a piece of string to one side of one square and then glue on the other square on top. Staple it together near the top (like a tea bag tag) if you want/need to.
arrow Attach this is in the slit so that it looks like there's teabag tag sticking out of your cup.
arrow Decorate both the card and the tag. Preferably make the teacup look like a tea cup and the tag look like a tea tag. You can write anything on the tag: Thank You, Get Well Soon, So Sweet, Tea Party, etc.
It's cute and creative, and very loli. <3
