Ah yes, the age-old question: What is love?
So, discuss:
- What is love, in your opinion?
- What does it mean to you?
- What does it symbolize, if anything?
- Differences between love and lust?
- How is love tied to commitment?
And anything else you can think of to discuss that relates to love. 3nodding

The biggest misconception I have seen is that alot of people think because they enjoy having sex with someone means they are in love. People who are in love somtimes make love rather than have sex and trust me there is a difference. Falling in love is different for everyone because it is lke a plant growing in whatever soil the people involved have in there hearts. SOme people who have been hurt have acidic soil and things will grow but it can take a long time. Or some have soft enriched soil that hasnt been hardened or damaged and it will just sprout, thats how it was for me I had been hurt before but I took a chance and my little sprout with my hubby shot up so quick it was shocking.
I have always written my husband sweet notes so here is the defintion of love I gave him almost 5 years ago when we were dating......
"Love is...Butferflies in the stomach, feeling of completeness, complete happiness, longing for the other person especially at night, wanting to keep the other person warm and safe, when the parents like them, wanting to just lay in bed all the time and talk, recapping things you have done in your mind, always wearing a cheesy grin."
This year i found that letter and wrot him another and revamped my definition of love
"My definition of love has changed in 4 years I dont even have a definition anymore I still love you with all my heart and I suppose because there arent any terms attatched to it anymore it means more."
Here are some quotes that have always meant somthing to me in regards to love....
"love is friendship set on fire" Jeremy taylor
"A real love letter is absolutly ridiculous to everyone except the writer and the recipiant" Myrtle reed
"people who are sensible about love are incapable of it" Douglas Yates
Anyways as you can see from the long post that I have some opinions on the subject.
