User Image The sky was grey. Nothing said bliss to Kia like a day like this. The air was cool and large drops of rain were falling from the sky in large quanities. The clay toned lioness was making the best of the day and was standing out in the rain and splashing in small pools of water that had settled in the soil.

A childlike grin was drawn across her features as she hopped across the puddles, making the water a muddy brown and sending droplets of the dirty water soaring in all directions, many hit Kia's already wet coat and made her an even sorer sight. Apparantly the adolescant didnt care how silly she must have looked splashing about like a child, days like this didn't come often and Kia was going to make the best of it.

"Rain. Rain means puddles, muddy puddles. Puddles make me happy!" Kahawia thought as she took a running leap into the nearest puddle, water splatering everywhere, mud clinging to her slightly matted fur. Although this cheetah was a fully grown adult, she was still a five year old at heart and in mind.

She rolled around in the mud until her spots were barely visible anymore. As she ways laying on her back enjoying the patter of rain on her stomach and the coolness of the mud on her body, she saw another animal enjoying the coolness of the day. Kaha rolled over and started towards the other creature. "Anybody else who plays in the mud must be fun!" she thought.

((sorry for the delay. My computer literally broke about five minutes after I posted xD all better now though 3nodding ))
User Image Kia continued to hop about in the puddles, seeming to find a preference in the largest puddle near to her. She continued splashing about, the muddy water creating random splatters along her sides and stomach as she jumped. Soon though she heard the sloshing of another's footsteps in the mud. Tilting her head to some degree her eyes turned to the direction of the other.

She looked at her new companion, a quizzical expression across her features as she studyed her

"You're dirty" she said plainly, looking at the mud all over the other so that she could scarcely tell what species she was. Obviously Kia hadn't seen a reflection of herself, for even though she was not completely coated like this other female.... Kia was quite dirty as well.

((Nono, I'm sorry. I've been busy and I couldn't really get into her character when I did sit down to reply))

Kahawia closed the distance between her and the muddy lioness. She looked around for another when the lioness addressed her and found no one but herself. Then she looked at herself. The cheetah was covered in mud, but that didn't bother her. "I know. Isn't it great?!" She said with a goofy grin and pranced in place a little.

Kahawia then looked at the femme in front of her and giggled. She looked around again for anybody else, only quicker this time. Then she lowered her head so they were at the same eye level and whispered, "You know, you're not so clean yourself." Then she giggled and trotted away a little ways.

Kia frowned, examining her own muddy body carefully before shrugging, her brows raised and her eyes scanning the skies innocently.

"I see no dirt." she grinned "I am dirt free!" she nodded, a forced serious sort of expression across her face as she nodded several times as if to point out her innocence of the crime of being dirty.

"I can't even tell what color you are underneath all your dirt" Kia said, obviously sarcastically, her voice dripping with the drama of her bad humor "Now I, on the other hand, sparkle in my cleanliness and I hope that all of Africa gets to see"

She smiled smugly and closed her eyes, nodding once more, nobly, before planting herself into a sitting position smack dab in the middle of the puddle she was standing in, causing muddy water to flood up and drench her tail.

"I see..you don't happen to be blind by any chance?" Kaha suddenly became very embarased. What if she had offended this animal?

However, he fears were rejected when she was insulted. "And isn't that how things should be?" she asked, grinning immensely, prancing in place and sending little specks of mud onto her already mud covered legs. "If you want all of Africa to see your cleanliness, you might want to roll around in some water beforehand just in case," which she followed up with a short nod.

Kaha giggled as Kia sat herself in the mud. "If you were clean before, you're not anymore."

"For shame," Kia said slowly, laughing at the randomness of this entire situation "Now for surely, my prince shall never come." Kia pretended to swoon, landing sideways in the puddle of mud and rolling about in it for a little bit afterwards, for dramatic effect of course.

"Indeed," she said shortly sideways in the mire "It does appear that now we are both very much dirty. Whatever shall we do"

Hawi was slightly faking shock. "How dreadful! Surely that wouldn't happen to you?" Hawi herself wasn't much interested in males. She lived life just fine without one, why should she go looking now?

She looked at the now brown covered lioness. "I'm not sure." Hawi plopped down in the mud with Kia.

For a minute or two Kia's face became wrinkled with confusion as she struggled to pull a good solution from her mind. To find a way to clean themselves would take a good deal of effort and would be entirely purposeless in Kia's mind since both of them were bound to get dirty again eventually anyways. On the other hand, to become dirtier would accomplish nothing and would be near impossible to achieve anyways. The whole situation was rather taxing.

Almost as if it were a divine sign, after those few minutes of deep concentration and thought, Kia's stomach let out a rather large gurgle and suddenly a solution became clear.

"By George!" Kia said, sitting upright in a snap and looking rather enlightened "What would you say to the prospect of looking for some grub?" her eyes twinkled in response to her own brilliant idea. While niether becoming more or less filthy would make any impact on Kia, getting food would certainly satisfy her rumbling tummy and perhaps her new friend enjoyed eating as much as she did.

As Kia thought, Kaha sat. At first she also thought about cleaning themselves somehow, but she did this in vain. Soon she was more focused on the feeling of the mud between her toes than anything else. She sat there squishing it together and fooling around until Kia cried out and Hawi sprung up.

"Yes! Yes! Something to eat would be delightful!" Hawi herself hadn't eaten in quite some time and a nice piece of meat would really hit the spot. Kahawia giggled. Whoever this George fellow was, he was one brilliant man.

Kahawia looked around the wide expanses surrounding the two. She spotted a dot on the horizon far off in the distance. Without warning she shot out towards it not knowing if Kia followed her though it sounded as if she traveled alone.
