i like the 3'd i thought it was a great film and ended the trilogy well, because it took you back to the begining.

First film: Great mockery of the slasher genre (featuring smarter-than-the-average characters who usually question everything that people do in horror films) and a fitting tribute to the films which have inspired it.

Second film: Lesser sequel which had characters ventilating the fourth wall, admitting that this film is not as good as the first. However, the film still remains entertaining and decent, bending the rules of the traditional slasher sequel.

Third film: The smartest thing about this movie is that shot of an open door at the end, and that isn't even an original concept! In previous films where characters would question conventional actions in horror films and usually would not follow them, Scream 3 is filled with the cliches that the movie should be breaking!

^^ Persoanlly, I thought the first film was the best. Mostly 'cause it had Mathew Lyllard in it and he's one of my favorite actors ever! ^__^

Also, it was actually really smart movie. I just watched it yesterday on WB. Billy and Stu's plan to be left for dead and blame Sydney's dad was actually pretty good. XD And Stu was probably the funniest movie murderer I've ever seen.

I thought the first one was the best because after the first one its bascily the same in the other movies, same costum, same chracter, all thats difforent is the murder.

I like the first one.. it had a galvanizing effect on the genre and reminded people that Horror WASN'T dead, and many people still loved it.

The second is... eh....

The third had that great Jay and Silent Bob cameo. What else should be said? Oh, it was otherwise pretty bad.

The First one , mainly for the same reasons people said above such as reminding people that horror wasnt dead. Scream 2 and Scream 3 were still good though, just not my favorite of the trilogy.

First one: Thought it was awesome, I loved mathew lyllard in it.....and I thought it over all had a great story line to it.

Second one: I dont watch it often cause they killed off Jamie Kenedy in that van......it makes me sad and mad at the same time cause he was so innocent and I loved him..... crying
but I thought it was horrid that the killer was Jackie from Roseanne.....all I could think was of her Jackie character.... xp

Third one: I loved it the most cause I think it had the best story line to it, since it brought back moreen presscott......I also never could have guessed who the killer ended up being. I loved the jay and silent bob cameo, I also liked that they had carrie fisher *princess leah* in it.

I liked 1 the best , because it was the first , however I liked the way they really tied it all together by the end of # 3 with a return to stuff that actually took place 1 year before Scream 1 started , the mother.

Actually, if you watch the first film closely, a lot of the cliches they mention they do anyway. (leaving the group by yourself, running upstairs instead of outside, etc.) I thought that was part of the movies appeal, a nice darkly humorous satire.

The rest were crap. Sequels suck.

If you notice closely, I said "usually question everything that people do in horror films." I never said there was absolutely no exception to the questioning.
