I for one like the manga better since it's so much darker (and has so many cute moments b/tween Anzu & Yugi...) and Yugi definitely wears sexier clothes... heart
But what do other people think?

I like both. ^_____^ It's cool seeing how the story differs between the two.

The only manga I read was the end of the first series, I remember because of the penalty game Yami no Yuugi did with the yo-yos. But if I had to say anything, the manga is definitely better. The memory arc is getting good too, a lot different than the anime and a lot darker too.
The anime is good too, don't get me wrong.

I tend to like the manga more, it has things not seen in the anime. *nods* But, I like to watch the anime, too.

manga is so better. in the cartoon, they try to steam-roll all the yaoii-ness between Atem and Yugi out. in the manga, you can see it all in it's splendor.

Hm... well, me and my friend do point out all the moments we think are yaoi-ish... tho we really think Yugi & Anzu are cute...
Which I noticed they even seemed to take out the sweetness between Yugi & Anzu in the cartoon, or am I mistaken?

And I watched some episodes of the cartoon that's farther in the story line than I am and it's pretty interesting... and I don't like spoiling things... but this seems to be ok... I have a feeling the TV series screws things up so much anyway that the plot for the manga won't get spoiled all that much... xd

I dunno, I don't think that they change things too much in the anime, if you see the un-dubbed version.
There are definitely points I like about each one. For one thing, the manga has much better artwork in my opinion. The animation is way too inconsistent for me. But the anime also contains a lot more stories that you miss out on in the manga. So I guess both.

What do you mean the anime has more stories? I thought the manga had more...

No, the anime has everything the manga has and then some more. The manga lacks stories like the mini Virtual reality arc, grande prix and I believe even doma. It also lacks Rebecca's character entirely.
I think the ones not in the anime you're thinking of are the pre-duelist kingdom chapters. They actually did become an anime, called "the shadow games" or season 0 because it was made by an entirely different company. It was only 26 episodes long and unfortunately never brought to the US. They're all on youtube though.

I was peeved that they combined some of the weirder moments of the first set of manga w/ the first season of the anime... since they both start at different points... but oh well...

Manga!! Lots of funny, yet deadly moments, and Atem has a sexier look to him. Even if he did some dangerous stunts!!

they both definitely have their good points and bad points, but the manga i found to be alot more graphic, and, episode zero, as was mentioned before, seems to follow a little closer to the lines of the manga which i like. the anime cartoon, 4kids style, i don't like sometimes because it's so watered down and edited, but, it has it's good moments too.

The manga i found to be a bit more detailed in the story...And Yami does a lot more for his character...Also i noticed the Yugi doesn't mind talking about Yami to his friends...Unlike the show who doesn't really tell anyone till after Doma...
However...in teh show...Dan does an awesome job to make Yami sound sexy.... And they make Yugi look a little more tougher...In teh manga they sorta make him look weak...

They're all on youtube though. The manga was first and therefore the anime is doing nothing but adding characters and side stories that were not in the original and therefore don't belong. Furthermore I believe these side stories ruin the characters and the plot line. Rebecca by the way is in the manga- she's the girl with the yellow ribbon that Triston had a crush on in the first or second one. And the anime excludes a BUNCH of dialogue between the characters. I'm 'the friend' Tesh dear was talking about when she said we point out yaoi moments- and I'm sorry, but you will never find in the anime seto saying to yami during a duel 'you excite me.' XD XD XD XD XD!!!!!! So if you haven't caught on already, I'm so pulling for the manga. Not to mention the animation in the anime reminds me too much of pokemon. It did get better though during battle city- of which I'm grateful. Tv still tones down the darker side that the manga lets you in on. Doing this they are centering the series around elementary kids when mangas are in all reality created for highschoolers.
