Another day wandering the world. Yua had, long since, left the lands of his family, but no matter how far he tried to wander from them, he always found himself back, staring into them, and keeping a watchful eye on his younger siblings.

That day, was no different. The brown lion had perched himself up on a rock, and sat there, surveying the stretch of savannah laid out in front of him, sighing as his thoughts bubbled through his head. A pause, and he glanced over his shoulder, leering at the spirit, which, of course, didn't really exist, but he sure as hell thought it did. "You stupid thing, ruined my life.." he grumbled at it, then looked back to the landscape in front of him with a sigh.

Oh, how he'd love to muster the courage to go back home.

The lioness had wandered a little way's from the forgotten den she's taken as her own within the Ela'wadiyi land's, in search of food as she scanned over the golden savvanah.
She loved her new temporary home, she knew she'd be staying for a little while longer then she'd thought.

But knowing she had grown into an adult there, made her happy and confident about staying in the safety of the land's with her new friend for a few moon's longer.

As the crimson female trotted along through the golden grasses and against the crackled land, her soft brown eye's picked out the rather prominant figure that sat out on a rock nearby.
Apparently talking to himself aswell.

Kianga was both hesitant and wary, she'd heard rumour's of a dangerous lion prowling around the lands searching for weak willed lions and cubs to take to his pride.
But she was optimistic, thinking on the brighter that if not, it was a new friend and someone she had not had a chance to meet yet.

A smile placed itself on her creamy maw as she padded toward's the figure, head held high as she watched this new person closely.

"Good day to you." She called out to figure.

As if Yua had enough brain to kidnap a meerkat. The young lion's fur puffed up dramatically when he was called out to, before he tumbled off his lovely perch, rolling through the grass a bit, before popping right back up to his paws. All in all, watching him was -rather- humorous.

Again he glanced over his shoulder, and mumbled; "Great, now I have to pretend your not prodding me.." It was an indirect statement, but he soon began to ignore whatever it was he was he was having a ball mumbling over his shoulder at, and crawled back up onto his perch to stare at the lioness whom had shocked him off of it.

"....."

Staring for a moment, Yua puffed out his chest a bit, before FINALLY replying.

"Why heeellllllooooo~" he chimed, rising up again, and dropping back down into the grass to approach the stranger.

The lioness gasped as the male fell of his perch, only to watch as he tumbled and rolled into the grass before she stood there, blinking at that.
She held back the desperate chuckle that wanted to escape the female's throat as she padded a little closer to check if he was alright.
Laughing at other's misfortune was no way to act, she said sternly in the back of her mind.

As he returned to his perch however she stared back at him silently for a moment or two before he replied, black ears perking forward as she watched him closely.

My, that was a rather...enthusiastic greeting, wasn't it?

She then sat down where she was as the younger male approached her, white tail tuft twitching in and out of view as her soft, tree bark brown eye's watched over him closely.

"Are you all right?" She asked curiously. "You took quite a tumble."

Yua stopped walking, and sat down as well, if only to watch the other female with a great deal of interest, tail flicking carelessly as he studied the lioness, attempting to look greatly uninterested, but was very interested. He'd never seen a lioness this brightly colored (unless that bright neon purple-ish lioness from forever ago counted), at least around these lands.

Hmm.. he'd definately missed something in his absence.

He blushed a bit when the lioness inquired of his well being, mumbling something to himself, then looking to one side. "Yeah... I'm fine.." he grumbled to himself more then her, though the comment was indeed aimed to answer her question.

"It wasn't -that- big of a tumble either.. I've had worse...." he added on the end, rubbing his fur absent-mindedly with a paw, while refusing to make eye contact.

Awww, so awkward. <3

Kianga's ears perked forward as he spoke, body leaning a little forward before she reclined back and little and watched him closely.
How odd, she'd never been spoken indirectly too before, mind you, she was new to the whole 'exploring' thing.

She didn't lose her temper however, it wasn't in her nature to do so, as such, she just smiled at the male awkwardly as he spoke to her in this way.
Finding it amusing in it's own way as she sat there, tail continually twitching in and out of view.

"Well, it's just a relief to know your not hurt in any way." She said kindly, smiling as him in a less awkward manner as she stood up slowly.

The lioness then noticed the strange array of markings on his forepaw's and cocked her head to the side, curiousity now filling her as she thought over what they could mean.

So, did this mean, he was an Ela'wadiyi?
She'd only ever known them to have such intricate marking's or tattoo's by all the stories of the other pride's heard within the prideland's.
So...could he be one?

"Excuse me." She started. "But do you come from a pride near here?"

A loud 'erk!' sprouted from the mouth of the male as the inquiry sprouted from Kianga's lips, fear, and then anger, spreading over Yua's face, before he sprouted indignantly; "No!"

However, it was as much of a lie as any could be. He was Ela'wadiyi, born and bred, and just because he could deny his lineage, it was hard to prove that it was -NOT- so. In fact, it was indeed marked all over his fur. After a moment of silence, he looked down at his front leg, the only one of the four that was marked, before sighing and mumbling a correction to his first denial;

".. Okay.. so -maybe- I am.." he said, shaking his head a bit, before looking firmly at the pridelander.. "But only in blood. Those backstabbers are -NOT- my pride, nor my family." His fur puffed up a bit, before he slammed a paw against the ground, attempting to seem threateningly, before a pause...

..

He was so agressive sometimes.

Kianga was taken aback slightly by his outburst and took a few steps backward's as if fearing he would explode.
Her ear's flattening back slightly at how suddenly agressive he had become, but she gave a slight nod and a gulp before she remembered that she had to blink.

She then cleared her throat and nodded more so before sitting down once more and watching him.

"Did they kick you out? It's awful if they did because you seem like such a nice male." She said honestly.

Kianga couldn't tell a lie, because it would leave her feeling so awful afterward's.
So she just answered sincerely of what she thought despite his earlier outburst.

Ears flattened back against his head as he considered his current outburst, a slight blush coming over his expression at noticing that -HE-, YUA, had actually, even for a moment, been frightening.

Sighing, he opened his mouth to speak, before the flustered question from Kianga made his fur stick up, and him to clamp his mouth shut again, his claw digging into the ground beneath his paws to prevent him from lashing out in a slight rage again.

Taking a few breaths, he composed himself, before looking back to the lioness and shaking his head a bit.

"No. They didn't. I left." he stated tight-lipped, then looked off over his shoulder, sighing a bit.

The sweet natured lioness was beggining to feel truly threatened in this males presence, however, as she watched him, she lowered her head a little.
Maybe she should just drop the whole subject and try to talk about something else, seeing as he was apparently getting stressed by the whole matter.

"Oh.." Came the intelligent reply as she nodded. "...very well."

Her soft brown eye's watching him as her tail twitched back and forth, the white tuft of fur greatly contrasting against the vibrant red of her pelt.
The lioness then cleared her throat while she tried to think of something else to talk about, however that issued a rather akward moment of silence between the two.

"So...have you seen any other places, like...the Pridelands?"

The question arose out of curiousity and that, if he had, she wanted to know what was happening to her homeland.

Yua frowned a bit. How many other lands had he been to? Rubbing one of his legs with a paw awkwardly, he shook his head. "I've not been to the pridelands. I've been to a pride out towards the cliffs called the Mteo'nyungu by it's people, and I've been towards the swamplands, and here only.."

There was an odd pause, as he looked over the female. Yes.. she was larger then the typical Ela'wadiyi female would have been. She had to be a foreigner. She was missing the markings that, as well, marked his own form.

"... But I will go there to look to them if it would please you?" he then added in suggestion, almost in offering an apology for frighening her with his brash actions of rage towards his own memories.

There was another pause, before he lifted a paw and brushed it towards his own being, chuckling a bit.

"Yua. Yua'lopoka Mila, if you go by those of the pride."

The lioness listened intently, sitting there as her deep chocolate eye's wandered over the younger male while she thought if she'd been to those places.
She deffinatly hadn't been to the swamplands, she'd gone past the mountain's because that's how she and Shimlah had gotten here.

However, as he offered going to the Prideland's for her, the lioness took that up as an apology and gave one of her trade mark sweet smiles his way.
"No, that's alright, I just wanted to know how my family was, I'll probably go back for a visit later on.
She said it in a soft, conversational way, like one would talk to their best friend or sibling.
"Thank you for offering though."

Kianga's ears perked as she let the name run through her mind once or twice, mouthing it under her breath before she chuckled softly.
"A pleasure to meet you, Yua." She said sweetly.

"My name is Kianga."

Yua seemed to heave a bit of a sigh of relief as his unspoken sort-of apology was accepted, while at the same time, it's basis was denied. Ah well, it was better to have offerred and been turned down, then to have not offerred at all. He nodded a bit. "Alright then... just wanted to have that option out there..."

A sort of amused expression came over his face as the lioness mulled over his name, nodding a bit, but none the less saying nothing. Yes yes. Good confusing name, it was. 'Tradition of speaking nonsense'. That was basically it in a nutshell. Shrugging a bit, he chuckled.

"Ah! But the pleasure is mine, Kianga~" he beamed good-naturedly. There was a good deal of truth in the statement, as it was -odd- for someone to still act so sweet after being practically verbally and mentally assaulted by the rage of a hormonal adolescent such as himself.

Hmmm...

"So what brought you out here?"
PostPosted: Tue Sep 05, 2006 12:25 pm

The lioness chuckled slightly, standing up and dreamily sighing as she moved closer and looked over the land that his rocky perch outlooked.
"This." She answered simply to his question.

She then thought for a moment, before turning and looking at him.

"The thought of a bigger world, the sense of adventure, that's what brought me here...to see what was beyond where the sunlight touched."

Her word's sounded like that of a dreamer, that of a poet or stargazer or even a child.
Hopeful.
Innocent.

Kianga was still and would probably always be, a child and kind female at heart.
Not a mean bone in her body.
She was a passionate huntress and a caring friend.

And an adventurer.

However after her little dreamy phase she shook her self and glanced at him, only to bashfully look away at what she thought was a silly thing to do when a person was watching.

"I'm sorry."

Yua quirked a brow at the seemingly answerless reply, looking about to see if he was missing something, before his eyes turned up to look at the female again. His expression was confused looking, before he turned his head to look towards the same thing the lioness did.

Oh

He chuckled a bit and allowed her to go dreamily on about the edges of the sunlight, before replying simply; "But the sun touches everywhere but the inside of the mountains and the depths of the sea. Everywhere, at some point in time, tastes the light and the promise, and sometimes disaster, it brings."

Again, a brow quirked as she apologized for her dreamy state, before he shrugged a bit. "Don't worry about it.. I go out of it much worse.." he sympathized, sighing and depressing his shoulders a bit.

Mngh.

He -definately- didn't want to go into details about that.
