Anyone here see the Resident Evil movies?
I'm a person who loves zombie movies so of course, I saw the 1st RE and its sequal. In my opinion, the sequal surpasses the 1st one in plot. The dialogue in it was... okay. Zombie attacks are always fun (except in House of the Dead) and these zombie movies had pretty good zombie attacks and interesting creatures.
Something one of my friends noticed, at the end of every line that Valentine says in the sequal, you can add the words "In bed". It's really funny.

I despise the original for lacking every basic zombie movie element--blood by the bucket load, good character tension, and at least one exploading head. For that reason alone, I didn't even see the sequel.

I thought that Resident evil was an awesome movie, I have not yet seen the second movie, but I want to...the first scared me alot, the only think that sucked was that the guy I had a crush on ended up being bad, uggg...

I was rather dissappointed by the first RE movie. I haven;t seen the second one, but I dislike the first because of the location... under the Mansion. I went by how awsome the game was and the setting in the game WAS THE MANSION. And as for characters, none of the S.T.A.R.S. (an adequate intended pun) from the game made an appearance in the movie. But it was a good zombie flick I'll admit to that, along with the licker, or the mutant monster, for those of you who didn't play the games. If they went by the game the mutant would be a Hunter. Game-following wise it was a let down. But typical zombie movie-wise it was good.

I am a big fan of all of the Resident Evil video games so when the movie came out I wen't to see it right away and was a bit dissappointed 3nodding but Resident Evil pt.2 is alot better then the first one.

I thought the movies were pretty good. They seem to be better action movies that horror though. Can't wait for the next one.

I fell asleep during RE1. So when my boyfriend and some friends and I went out to see RE2, I was pretty fresh to it, but I still thought it was pretty crappy. I think I didn't like it because of Nemesis.
To me he just seemed like this big, dumb, strong, horrible villain who went around groaning "staaaaaaars" and squeaking his shoes.
I swear, I'm not typically this hard on movies ... I swear ...

I liked the first one, but was a little dissapointed in thge second. It was still good, I just had a harder time staying focused with it. But maybe it was just that one time. I shall have to watch it again and see 3nodding

i liked the games beacause they built up a lot of tension but the films just aren't scary at all i was really disapointed

I love the games too.The movis got me upset cause they really made the game look like a disgrace in my opnion 3nodding

RE was a good game and I thought the movie would live it up. Of course, I was wrong in my opinion.
I feel you should follow the same story as in a book or game, no matter how long it is. When I saw this was done under the house the whole time than at the end of the game, I became pissed.
Same with the sequel, yes it followed Nemesis but It shouldn't have followed ALice, it should have followed Chris and Jill because they were the main chars in the third game and of course the sequel just sucked pretty much...went too fast in my opinion....

The films are so utterly atrocious.
Firstly, the things that make a zombie film good: zombies and deaths by zombies, were totally bereft of this film. I am not, of course, implying that there were no zombies in either of these movies. Just that they were not treated with the respect they deserve, they are not simply cannon fodder, they are a character within the film, the two Resident Evil movies did not treat them as such.
Any zombie attack was edited to hell, so that you were unable to see what the hell was going on. Worse than that, it was edited to hell over some crappy rock track, possibly designed to get 14 year old metal fans into the film. Of course, neither of them were as bad House of the Dead, but good god they came close.

The first one was ok but the second one kicked a**! I really liked it. They did a good job with the S.T.A.R.S monster. He was like, "STARS." I was like Oh shiiiit! whee sweet.
