No...Full metal panic is based on average school life, about a girl named Kaname, now.....she doesn't know she is very important to Terrorist, so a organization, known as M.I.T.H.R.I.L sent someone named Sosuke to defend her, but it seems she can't handle the young man's tactics of defense such as Unidentified Wallets, Tampered locekrs to Suspicous Teachers.......Also she can't cope with the idea that She was so vaulable. So as predicted you will see lot's of anti terror warfare such as stun grenades, tear gas, SOCOMs, and a few more.

Nope not at all, it's all on military basis, similar to Full metal alchemist, but no magic, it's technology.
