I've been playing a quest called 'Caught in the Hunt' where one guy has gone missing and his wife sends me to find him. So I go to fort grief island to search for a so-called 'magical axe' or something. I go into the dungeon, do my thing in there, got the key. When I came back out, there was that orc guy running around with his axe out and he's looking up at a ceiling at a shadow. The guy that he tricked before is missing (before I went in the dungeon, I slept in a bedroll under this wood plank and that's when he disappeared). I can't move or open my inventory screen. All I can do is open my menu and load myself back into the dungeon. Glitch? Yeah, I'm stuck and can't do anything about it. I don't want to start a new game, and I havn't downloaded any patches. Is there any alternative to fix it? Perhaps a patch? (yes, I have tried reloading it several times)

Hmmmm try restarting your game from the last autosave that usualy works for me.

Well for oblivion only well it depends if you have a wireless or wired controller if you have a wired when the game starts hold A button or any other button until the bethesha softowrks logo shows up and it should be cleared if you got wireless wait til the contrller is intacted and then do the same

Samething happened to me execpt i got oblivion on the pc.The problem for me was that i cheated by opening the get with the unlock cheat then heading out.Maybe you should reload to an other point before you did the quest then do it again.
