Have you ever worked really hard at something, not even knowing if it was going to work out in your favor? And you give it everything you've got, and no matter what happens, you just keep going, and you "get knocked down, but [you] get up again, ain't never gonna keep [you] down" (chumbawumba)? What is that driving force that keeps you going? Don't you love it? What is it called?
And then, when it's all over, did it work out? And wasn't in amazing!? And didn't you feel great for sticking to it, and didn't you feel strong while you WERE sticking to it? And don't you feel so strong now, like everything is going your way?
Isn't that GREAT!?

Totally.
Two years ago, on a backpacking trip in the White Mountains.
A hike we thought was only going to take 5 miles wound up taking over 15 miles. It was an error on the map.
Near the end of the hike, we were all wiped out, taking more frequent breaks. Eventually, I just got sick of it, and started walking, as hard and fast as I could without stopping, without thinking or feeling anything. I just wanted to get there. My father had to yell at me to get me to stop.
But, when we finally got to camp, we got the shelter, and we didn't have to set up tents, and that was just heavenly.

"It is called intuition. Have you ever been hiking on the Grand Canyon? I went the entire thing without stopping, a 12 mile hike. It was spring, so it wasn't as hot, but there was mud everywhere! I ruined my good (and only) shoes!
