there were strict rules before to what women sayable or not. today, male word, like ka,boku, kimi, omae,zo,ze etc, are all use by females. but always there will be more politeness and femininess in women talking.

i want to point out here:

-how the women of this guild can speak
-how the will mostly be of speaking
-what they had to speak like
-and for males, what you should be talking like.

lets start with pronoun:

male

僕
俺

君
お前
female

あたし
わたし

あなた
あんた
unisex

あなた
∞though unisex, using normally makes you sound feminine

now with new rules it is:

MALE-僕・俺 君・お前

FEMALE-あたし(prefer by almost all young girl, next watashi)・わたし・僕(more masculine girls) あなた・あんた・お前・君

verbusage-

used to be different, a man got to be less polite (still do) and women had be more polie (still, but it has dropped to less)

male female polite:

(only new way)

F M

~masen wa, is almost always said by female

NORMAL LANGUAGE

f m

~か in normal language supposed to be tough, so women did not use, but ti is now wvery common, as for no, men do not say as much, which is why i did not include it.

ね and な and だ

males are expecting to always use da with na/ne, while females almost alwyas never are using da with ne and na, even more befor efemales could not say na!

same with na for not doing something

F M

please

is often more ちゃう in feminine, rather than be full it is contraction, it is because it sounds cute.

SPEAKING LIKE JAPANESE MALE

i must be admitting, i have laughed a few times at the feminine speech of foreign male, they just do not know how to use male language.

because the above explains better for how females to speak i will review male language here:

僕-say this almost everytime you would use watashi, when you are having to use watashi, then you must, but you usually are able to say watakushi (watak'shi) at these time

俺-you can say this with friend family, but ti is occaision usable outside of these situations. a contraction only for freind, family of ore wa, is orya.

君-anata is usable by men when they need to, but they alot are saying kimi to everyone else. and omae to all there friends

males use contractions more

ndesu and nda, are more likely than full nodesu.

when you need to say ne after adjective say da ne (da na for more)

try not to say "no" in informal for question, it is girly, just say ka, it is toough (this is why women in japan have start using alot of male speech), but this is also why tokyo-ben is called girly is because males can occaisionly say no.

use:

ze- to underscore point

zo- to put strong emphasis on something being said, to emphasize command, and to emphasize self incourage

sa- softens request, emphasize crucial reply

(THESE ARE ALL IN MODREN TIME USUABALE BY WOMEN IN NORMAL SPEECH[ZE,SA,ZO])

MORE MALE TALKING

お前- usable with friends, girls use to these day

僕ら-almost same level as bokutachi, but it is just being little less polite, female equivalent-あたしら

male are going be making adjectives like sugoi to sugee and samui to samii (if you kknow how be making this construction)

male use さ quite a bit (part of eing tokyoite in general)

is girly, childish and cute, so children, females, and male at informal talking say it.

the polite way is:

てもらいたい

ってばよ is is cute, but rather male.

not really, i see amny women here speak traditonally, but not cute enough, and males speak like (here at guild) they are more interested in their own gender.
