She'd never been so nervous before in any of her long lives. Sure there was a first time for everything, but that didn't make it any easier to cope with, as the sad truth stood. The goddess had resigned herself to searching by foot, though she did make an effort to remain hidden from all but her objective. She knew that by this hour the pride would be sleeping, but she also knew that the mischevious brothers had a long standing habit of late-night wandering in their attempts to explore, and often times one up one another. Mkodi help her... she only hoped that this wasn't going to ruin their relationship. She knew for herself how stubborn and competitive they both were, especially, especially towards one another.
Though they might not have seen her since their first meeting, that didn't mean she'd stopped keeping watch. How could she? They were among her first four friends she'd made in her youth since coming back. In her memories she could not recall having any others for friends, and only stopped seeing them when she sensed what would come of their continued socializing. If things had just gone according to plan then they would have probably both met other lionesses and moved on, but things did not go according to plan. Lisani had stumbled upon her the day before, and she'd been caught unawares with her guard down. Somehow he managed to make her realize that for the most part she was just being silly, that they could be happy, just fine, without dire consequences befalling all of those around them. Now.... after their love confessions, she just... had to give Kiamba the news... Maybe over the passing weeks she'd read him wrong, and he really was over her absence. Maybe he'd laugh and think she was crazy for assuming he'd be upset.
The moonlight broke over her back, her wings tucked close as the goddess crept along the outer perimeter of the center-valley. She could sense the others far off, sleeping just like she suspected, now where was Kiamba'Roho?
